Just got done watching the Oliver Stone Collection edition of JFK which has, I feel, the only decent Kevin Costner performance in existence. That, and Gary Oldman is a genius. That is all.

I'm watching Monty Python's Flying Circus, and when I'm done I'll watch the movies (except "And Now For Something Completely Different cause I don't have it yet).

I'm pissed off at the Holy Grail Collector's Edition DVD. It's a two DVD set packed with extras, plus it includes a little book with the screenplay and a cardboard with a replica of one of the frames in the movie to show off to your friends. But it has one practical problem: the box is made so it's nearly impossible to remove the discs without breaking them. So far I've only managed to remove disc 1, and I ain't putting it back in that stupid fucking box. I think maybe the Pythons themselves designed it.

Sleepers is excellent, by the way... I'm tempted to watch From Dusk 'Til Dawn again, maybe watch Frailty, finally... I dunno. I have way too many movies that I haven't watched.

I can't believe you wasted your time on Sideways. Sideways sucks, once was more than enough for me.

Right now i'm trying to catch up on an incredible backlog of bought DVD's.

I saw "Guess who's Coming to Dinner" last night.

Incredible, powerful film. Incredibly subversive for it's time with some powerhouse performances from Sidney Poitier to Spencer Tracy and Kate Hepburn all the way to Isabel Sanford. That one's a keeper.

Right now i'm finally watching the first "Godfather" film for the 1st time ever. I had bought the box set a while back when I had some extra cash as I'm trying to buy every film in the AFI top 100 list. I dunno, for some reason, i imagined that it'd be boring. Boy was I wrong!

Most likely after I'm done, i'll go on to Godfather Part II

the rest of my recent views:

Jaws
The Negotiator
The Maltese Falcon
The Philadelphia Story
Meet John Doe (Capra)
The Aviator
Crimson Tide
The Wild One
Deliverance

cool choice!

i bought that one a while ago. It's funny how when you see certain films, other films you saw previously look like so derivative. With this one, it's pretty much Scorsese.

I also recently bought 'The Wild One' and James Dean just won't ever look as cool again...
