Miller's Crossing. Fantastic mob flick that flew under the radar. People always mention The Godfather or Goodfellas, et. al., when they talk about gangster movies, but no one ever talks about this one - they're missing out.

Dear, sweet Harley Kwink...I'm madly in love with you. Marry me! We can go to Canadia. Or Boston or something. It'll be grand...You know the cookies are a given. They are ALWAYS a given. You could dump me tomorrow and you'd still get the cookies. Boston..shit, wherever dyke weddings were legalized. And where better to rub their little piggie noses in how bad they suck than right on their doorstep? What are they gonna do? Be jealous of you? Stare furiously at your tah-tahs? Not willingly give you cookies, but instead begrudgingly give you their cookies? Woman, time to wake up to the powers you wield - Uschi

Most excellent!
Of the 16 minutes of re-added footage,a good portion of it is a nice long scene of PJ Soles topless!

Saw The Usual Suspect this weekend - after Miller's Crossing got to see more Gabriel Byrne. Both movies are unbelievabley good...

Next: Hitchcock's Notorious - Cary Grant, Ingrid Bergman - although not as popular at Psycho, NBNW, To Catch A Thief ,etc. its my fav'rit Hitchcock movie. The man was an incredible director.

Just got done watching The Jacket. Not a bad movie. Oddly reminiscent of The Butterfly Effect, really. The performances by Adrien Brody, Kris Kristofferson, and Daniel Craig really made the movie, though...

Mrs G and I rented the first season of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" from NetFlix.

It rated a big "meh" with us.

Some funny moments, but it seemed as if every ep was basically "Larry gets in trouble, Larry finds a person who will fix his problem, Larry says something stupid or offensive to said person and then the person won't help him. Meanwhile actors who play wife and manager giggle and crack up more than Harvey Korman on the old Carol Burnett show."

"School of Rock". That movie was more fun than it really should have been. Mike White rules.

I loved that movie when I was a kid! I didn't know it was on DVD!

Baby steps!

I just bought season one of Deadwood. Gonna start watching that baby tonight.

And I've been watching the audio commentaries on Freaks and Geeks.
