I guess I took to calling the episode known as " Metamorphosis" by the name " The Companion" because George loved that episode and that is what he used to call it.

If Monica commanded the ENTERPRISE, it would be titled "The One With The Companion."

" Inheritance" was just on..which leaves many questions that are not answered. Without giving anything away, it was a wonderful Data episode.

I never much cared for "Force Of Nature"... it was meant as a metaphor for saving our environment..but the warp speed limitation thing was dumb.

"Parallels" is on now..not only is it a very good Worf episode, it is a very good episode, period.

Worf ends up in a parallel world. And that is just the beginning!

Ok, so " Family" is on now. It was very gay when Captain Picard and his older brother fought in the mud!

Someone has a LOT of Farscape episodes there! I just have 5 that I taped off of the Sci - Fi Channel one Friday when they did a "Chain Reaction" thing..five episodes in a row!

Now that I finally have a Photo Bucket account, I ought to take and post pics of my collections... maybe during the the weekend, when I have more time.

"Remember Me" is over...fantastic episode!

I bet most of you reading this had the episode figured out after the first 5 minutes...not me..I didn't know what was REALLY going on the very first time I saw this one until ..well, you know when.

Note : I was surprised by the end of " Sixth Sense."

Everyone I know who saw it said they knew right from the beginning, too...damn!

The latest issue of Toyfare had a neat build your own dream crew bit in it. Basically out of all the different series you pick characters to assemble your favorite. (sorry if it's been done before on this thread) Actually they worded it as building a crew that almost beats the original. So they didn't use any in the one they had.

They had a nice mix using all the series (cept the original)
They had the holo doc, Worf, Tom Paris, Miles O'brien, Hoshi Sato, Sisko (as first officer???), Troi & Picard as the Captain.

Not bad but I can't see Sisko as a first officer after seeing him as the boss on DS9.

me either, Captain Sweden! Sisko is a Captain....and he wears that rank well!

I do not believe anyone else has posted about mixing and matching your own Trek crew in this thread before.

It is not an ultimate crew without Data. Wedge, did you watch Next Gen. today? I fell asleep..only saw part of "Homeward".... an okay episode....the arguing between Worf and his brother seemed fake... other than that, it was a good episode..I hope " To Thine Own's Self" has not been on yet, it is one of the best 7th season episodes!

"Final Mission" was on G 4 tonight at 8 pm. Interesting side note : At one point, Gene Roddenbury was going to reveal that Wesley Crusher was actuially the lovechild of both Captain Picard and Dr. Crusher. He died before thsi could be done. A shame, too, as "Final Mission" would have been the perfect point to do so..that talk between Picard and Wesley in the cave would have been the perfect time and place for just such a revelation.

I have always liked this episode a lot. I missed Wesley after Wil Wheaton had left the show.

Oh dear God! I just had a Klingon moment! I was shaking the Pepto Bismol bottle when I realized it wasn't closed tight and got some on myself and my shirt. I look like one of the Klingons who'd been shot in " Star Trek : The Undiscovered Country."

" Data's Day" and " The Wounded" were on G 4 tonight. They are both fine episodes. It's kinda lonely in here tonight. Holidays get me down sometimes. Wish someone would post in here besides me. Even if it was NowhereMan, telling me that Star Trek sucks.

Ok!! G 4 is NOT going to cancel Star Trek : The Next Generation!

"Devil's Due" is on, it is ok.

"Clues" is on next. I like this one well enough.

Does everyone hate Wesley Crusher in here? I did not. Just curious.

Ok, so in "Clues", if they had to reset the atomic clock, when they got to a starbase or talked with another ship, would the Enterprise crew not find out that their clock was way off????

Wesley was the mosy annoying thing about Next Generation........which is why they got rid of him.The only episode I liked with him in it was the one where he was on leave from the academy & had attitude problems and eneded up leaving with the Traveler.I think he ate some peyote too.

I don't know if he ate peyote on that episode but he had had a vision which sure looked as though he had ingested peyote!

I slept thru the first Next Gen ep. today. The next one was with Worf's son coming back from the future was on. It was ok.

The next one was where they thought this guy was Picards' son. I did not watch it. Never cared for that one. It would have made MUCH more sense if Wesley had been Picards' son. The force is strong with both of them.

HAPPY 40 TH BIRTHDAY STAR TREK!!!

I was there for episode one of the original Star Trek. I remember being 9 years old and I kept going " Wow!" off and on through out the episode, and the many that followed it. There was nothing like it before, and there hasn't been anything like it since!

I would not feel that same sense of awe and wonder until over a decade later, when I saw Star Wars for the very first time.

Wow........

So last night's G 4 eps were " Night Terrors" and "Identity Crisis."

"Night Terrors" rocks! LOVE the scene with Dr Crusher in the morgue! That was Awesome!!!

"Identity Crisis" is an ok episode. If anything else, it is a chance to spotlight Geordi, and that's a good thing. Of course, "Galaxy's Child'', " The Samaritan Snare", " The Mind's Eye", "Booby Trap", "The Enemy", etc, were much better Geordi episodes, but they can't all be great ones.

"Emergence" was on Spike at 3 pm est. It's kind of a dumb episode, but it was done ok.

After that:

" All Good Things parts 1 and 2."

It's a terrific episode. Done QUITE well! Storyline, acting and dialogue are terrific!

Too bad it is the series' swan song. I remember when it was on in spring 94. After it was over, I took a walk outside. It was a late May evening, and dark. I recall how lost I felt now that my favorite show had ended it's wonderful seven year run.

Yeah, it has been in reruns since 1990, and still is...but it was the end of an era. I doubt there'll be another Star Trek show that I love as much as Next Generation.

I hope time proves me wrong.

"Encounter at Farpoint" was on Spike TV yesterday. It's a
trip seeing Q in the VERY first two episodes after having just seen him in the last LAST two episodes. You can clearly see how much the shows and the characters changed in almost 7 years!

Today was " The Naked Now."

It seems a bit too soon for a look into the character's inner desires and how they go about acting on them once they all get this disease that makes 'em all like they are drunk.

Of course, Wesley saves the day, which to me is pretty cool...anyone remember how often Will Robinson saved the day on "Lost In Space", the tv series?

Loved the things Data did in this episode!

Once or twice is okay, but it got to the point where I wondered if the people on the Enterprise were retarded or something for them to not be able to figure shit out without the help of a kid.

"And a Child Shall Lead Them.."

Yeah, Doctor, they did kind of over do the " Wesley Saves The Enterprise" thing... But I never hated Wesley as many did. I guess I wanted to be the "WunderKinder" when I was a kid..

On G4 We had Parts One and Two of " Redemption." Part one was aired Monday night, Part two was on Tuesday.

I never really got into the "Conflict of Interest" thing with Worf, but it really made sense this time around..I mean, Worf wanted to use Federation info that his position could get him...so..he quit Starfleet..Nice done two parter.

Data did a fine job as Capatin Data. He got pissed at that one dude who tried to tell him what to do!

"Darmok"...one of my all time favs was on after that one. Not just because I like Paul Winfield...but his character was willing to die to establish communication with Captain Picard... that is awesome.

On Spike : The episode where this guy kidnaps Tasha Yar.

" Just for that, No Vaccine, No Treaty, and No Lieutenant Yar!"

And the one where we first meet the Ferengi, who were laughable. They did not become the big threat to the Federation that they were meant to be. That would have to wait until The Romulans returned, and the next year, when The Borg were first introduced.

I will look up the titles to these episodes tomorrow. Going to bed now, tired. Good night, all.
