"Unification parts 1 & 2" are good too!

Yesterday on Spike was 3 epiodes, but I only had time to watch " The Defecter", which is just so good!

Love the last ten minutes, especially!

Picard is a clever man!

After that on G 4, I watched " The Chase." Never cared for it much until just this year. It's quite good, actually.

Wait, no I was wrong. It wasn't the 1701. It was a Klingon ship. They haven't gotten to the 1701.

They just sold the 1701-E for $110,000!!

I'm not at all surprised by the price difference!

Wonder if whoever bought 'em will put 'em in the attic in shrink wrap...or in the living room, where the chair would get dog hair, cat hair, beer stains and more on it?

Can you imagine how much a display case for THAT would cost?

Hope whoever bought it has no kids!

"The High Ground", "Deja Q", and " A Matter Of Perspective were all on Spike TV today, all good ones! "Deja Q" is my fav of the three. There was never a bad episode with Q in it!

On G4 was " "Frame Of Mind" and "Suspicions", the latter being the one I like best of those two. It was so cool back in Spring 1992, and is still a cool episode now!

Saw the 2nd part of Unification - a great swan song for Spock - and another ep. in which a dude pops in and claims to be a time traveller from the 26th Century. Or is he?

Today, " Yesterdays' Enterprise", " The Offspring", and "Sins of the Father" were on Spike tv today.

These are not only 3 of the best third season episodes, but are 3 of the best episodes, period!

"The Offspring" is one of my all time favorites, up there with " Q Who", "Darmok", "Who Watches The Watchers", and "Relics".

'Star Trek' Ship Fetches Over $500,000
By Associated Press

NEW YORK - Star Fleet Capt. Jean-Luc Picard commanded it. Now some Trekkie owns it.

A model of the Starship Enterprise used in the pilot and title sequences of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" sold for $576,000 Saturday at an auction of costumes, sets and props from 40 years of the "Star Trek" sci-fi franchise.

The 78-inch-long miniature of the "Enterprise-D," built by Industrial Light and Magic, debuted in 1987 in the episode "Encounter at Farpoint," and then was used in many subsequent episodes, as well as the film "Star Trek Generations."

More than 1,000 items from the archives of CBS Paramount Television Studios went on the block over three days at Christie's auction house, and by early afternoon on Saturday fans of the series had forked over more than $4.9 million for set furniture, pointy Vulcan ears and other props.

Some Christie's employees taking bids by telephone wore Star Trek uniforms, and a live feed of the auction was carried on the History Channel's Web site.

Other top sellers on Saturday's action included a replica of Capt. James T. Kirk's command chair from the bridge of the spaceship on the original "Star Trek" series.

The painted wood chair was only a re-creation for a 1996 episode of "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" that mixed action from that newer series with old footage, but it still sold for $62,400.

"Descent" part one is on now.

I love how we see Data in the beginning playing poker with Albert Einstein, Sir Isaac Newton, and Stephen Hawking in the holodeck. Hawking had always wanted to be on Star Trek.

Soon, there's a RED alert! It's a distress call!
Data get pissed at a Borg and kills him....

And we start learning a whole lot more about the Borg that we did not know before!

I just went back and re - read the first 8 pages of this thread..very interesting!

It started out as a discussion thread .....and turned into my very own Star Trek Blog.

I am glad that somone posts in it other than myself from time to time.

I have kept this thread alive for several months all by myself. This pleases me.

"Gambit part 1" was on last night, and "Gambit part 2" was just on. This is a fine 2 parter!

"Phantasms'' is on now. Data has disturbing dreams... dreams that could mean big trouble for the Next Gen. crew if Data cannot figure out why he is having them!

Spike tv did not run Next Gen, yesterday or today because of another show that pre - empted it, but it will be back on tomorrow!

Last night, on G4 was "Dark Page", an episode that featured Lwaxana Troi, and focused on an event from her past that no one saw coming! I used to not like this one much but it did grow on me over the years....

Trivia : A very young Kirsten Dunst played a character named "Hedrill" in this episode.

Next was "Attached", an episode in which Dr. Crusher and Captain Picard were captured during a beam - down to a planet that was divided into two factions..they are both fitted with these thingies on the back of their necks that enable them to hear each other's thoughts.

They soon learn things about the other that may be more than they cared to know!

I was at the dentist until after 3 pm yesterday, and missed Star Trek on Spike TV because I watched coverage of the plane crash into that building in NYC. Very sad, two people including a Yankees pitcher died when the small aircraft they were in crashed into a building.

It was terribly unnerving. Even after it became clear it was not a terrorist attack, this happened one month aftere the 5 th anniversary of 9-11.

Today on Spike Tv :

"Menage a Troi" - Lwaxana Troi appears again and this is a great episode! I've never seen one with her in it that WASN'T great. She does her usual superb job of portraying Deanna's mom.

"Best Of Both Worlds pts. 1 & 2" followed. A fan favorite, and one of mine, too. This marks the second appearance of the Borg as they make their long awaited return.

SPOILERS!!!

Tonight on G4, "Parallels." A cool Worf episode! Worf discovers that he has somehow passed through the boundaries that lead into parallel dimensions. This explores the "Road not traveled" theory, which says that for every choice we make, there is a parallel reality in which we made a different choice which led to a different
history....

After that: "Pegasus." An incident from Riker's past rears it's ugly head.

SPOILERS!!!

There's this admiral who was Captain of the Pegasus, which was thought to have been destroyed years ago in an explosion after the crew revolted.

ULTRA SPOILERS!!!

The ship was testing a Federation cloaking device, which overload the ship's systems. The crew staged a mutiny, Riker stood by the Captain and defended him.

Now, The Admiral is aboard the Enterprise, leading a salvage operation. They discover that the Pegasus is inside an asteroid. The Enterprise goes into it through an entrance. Riker and the Admiral beam aboard the ship and find that it is 65% phased into the wall of an asteroid!

A Romulan ship is nearby, searching for the Pegasus, too.

The ship blasts the entrance shut which seals the Enterprise in. Riker comes clean and tells Captain Picard about the cloaking device, which Data and Geordi
hook up to the Enterprise's engines. It is switched on and turns the ship invisible and enable it to phase through solid objects. Picard orders the device switched off right in plain site of the Romulan Warbird, and messages them that a communication about this will be sent to the Romulan homeworld.

The Admiral goes to prison and Riker has to answer a lot of questions.

A very good episode!

Trivia : We see a black Romulan for the very first time.

Trivia : This explains the accident on Galandon Core in the third season episode, "The Enemy", where the two man Romulan craft crashes. They were testing a prototype of this device, which their spies had obviously learned of.

Trivia : This is also a follow - up to the fifth season episode " The Next Phase."

Trivia : It is also the second time we learn of a conspiracy in Starfleet; the first one was in the first season episode appropriately entitled, "Conspiracy."

Today on Spike Tv :

"Transfigurations."

Cool episode. The Enterprise finds an alien who is almost dead. They help him, and he heals in a very short amount of time, and can do all sorts of miraculous things!

Next was " Family." Another very good one! I like this one more every time I see it!

''Brothers." Love this one! Data plays three roles in it!

SPOILERS!

SPOILER SPACE!!

Why did they kill off Picards' brother and nephew in " Generations" ? That was totally lame!
