I couldn't be bothered to watch Star Trek : TNG on Spike today. I was very tired and took a nap, as there were no episodes I would have wanted to watch.

Today on Spike tv:

" I, Borg"

" The Next Phase"

" The Inner Light"

All three are great episodes! " The Inner Light" is the best of the three, IMO, and is one of my top twenty faves.

" I, Borg" is in my top twenty, as well.

" But Geordi does not wish to be assimilated."

" I am Locutis of Borg. Geordi will be assimilated."

" Geordi is my friend. He would rather die than be assimilated."

" Measure Of a Man" was on G 4... one of the BEST second season eps!

" The Dauphin" is on now.. one of my faves!

Wesley : " Commander, this just isn't my style."

Guinan : " Shut up, kid!"

Yesterday I saw Relics with Scotty's (of TOS fame) swansong. Very good, both Soft and Hard SF elements, the Dyson sphere could've come from an Arthur C Clarke novel.

Today I saw an ep. in which Riker and other crew members get abducted and experimented by aliens, and "True Q" about how the always Machiavellian Q teaches academy student Amanda in how to be a Q (which she recently had - sort of - discovered). The latter reminded me about the Season 1 (?) ep. in which Riker became a Q.

"To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women!"

Those are some fantastic episodes, Captain Sweden!

" Relics" is one of my very faves!

" Time's Arrow, Part 2" is on now, and I saw part 1 before that. Great two parter! I love time travel shows and movies.

" Cantagion " was on tonight... the Enterprise picked up a "virus" that was re - writing it's computer and playing havoc with it's systems. Good one for the second season
- which is the transitional season between the awful first season and the terrific third season!

After that.. " The Royale", which was kinda dumb. Riker, Worf and Data find themselves stuck in a holographic - type portrayal of a book. Bleh.

I missed the first episode on Spike today, as I was busy,
but I did see the second one - " Relics'' ! This is in my top ten!

Great to see Scotty again.

After that was "Schisms", with it's 1950's sci fi feeling. Nicely done!

Today on Spike tv :

"Rascals", where Picard, Ensign Ro, Guinan and Keiko get turned into little kids again! Very cute.

" A Fistful of Datas" was on after that. A good one.

I fell asleep and missed " True Q", which was the first of the three.. it is a good one.. it picked up on the theme of "HIde and Q", where Q had given Riker Q powers, temporarily. An 18 year old girl learns that she is Q, and has all the powers of a Q.

Tonight on G4 was " Pen Pals", a good one, and after that? One of my all time favs: " Q Who". First Borg appearance, with Q in it, too!

Today on Spike Tv :

" The Quality of Life" - Data becomes the advocate for small repair oriented machines called Exo - comps, machines which he has theorized are alive.

Then - the two parter :

" Chain Of Command".

" There .. are... four.. Lights!"

Picard solo episode which shows off Patrick Stewart's acting abilities.

Later, on G4 :

" The Ensigns of Command."

Data must convince a planet with a large colony living on it that the Sheliac are coming to colonize the planet soon!

He shines in this one, having to prove that he can be creative in both his talents and thinking.

I missed the ep. before it as I was watching " Heroes" on NBC, a new show which I am enjoying.

On Spike Tv today:

"Ship in a Bottle" charming episode in which Professor Moriarity returns.

" Aquiel" a good mystery episode!

" Face Of The Enemy" - Counselor Troi proves how resourceful she is when she finds herself on a Romulan vessel, surgically altered to resemble a Romulan.

Saw "Quality of Life" yesterday and "Chain of Command" pt 1-2 yesterday and today! Poor Picard got worse torture than James Bond in Ian Fleming's novels!

Yes, Captain Sweden, he did.

I missed the first episode on Spike TV, but am watching " Birthright", parts 1 and 2. It is very good. Data discovers he can now have dreams, and Worf goes in search of his father.

James Cromwell, who played Zefram Cochran in " First Contact", played an alien who contacts Worf about his father.

" Who Watches The Watchers" was on today. It is in my top ten! Picard is mistaken for a GOD by a proto Vulcan race.

" I wish you safe journeys, Picard. Please remember us."

Awesome.

after that: " The Bonding".

This kid's mother dies on an away mission. An alien energy form boards the Enterprise, disguised as his mom.

A sad one, especially if you have lost someone you loved.

Well, I found out which episode I had missed yesterday - it was " Tapestry." One of my very faves! Oh well....

Today on Spike TV :

" Starship Mine." Another fave!

then - "Lessons". Picard falls for this woman who is an officer aboard the Enterprise. She plays piano, he plays that little flute he got from that probe launched 1,000 years ago from the now dead people of the planet Kaatan, whose sun went supernova.

They fall in love, He sends her on a mission and gets really worried about her.

He oughta realize that those on the job romances are tough to maintain.

After that, " The Chase." The Doctor dude from St. Elsewhere, who was also the asshole Principal in " Dead Poet's Society" plays a dickhead of an ex archaeology teacher of Picards'. Picard goes off on a special mission,
diverting the Enterprise from bringing another shipment of dildos or something to some federation planet.

The last 5 minutes were pretty cool.

Today on G 4 :

" Booby Trap" : Enterprise trapped in asteroid field booby trap. Geordi falls in love with a woman propulsion expert who designed the warp engines used by the ship.

A good one.

Now on : " The Enemy."

Geordi is trapped on Galandon Core, a stormy, dangerous planet with a Romulan officer for company.

It never made it as a sitcom, but was a very good watch!

On Spike today:

" Frame Of Mind" - An ok episode.

" Suspicions" - One of my faves! Dr. Crusher is in the spotlight in this murder mystery.

" Rightful Hier" - Kayless returns! This one is a pretty good Worf episode..though I have seen better.

Tonight on G 4 :

" The High Ground" ... I thought it was a dumb episode back when I first saw it in 1990 or 1991... but, it is an episode about terrorism.. and it seems most relevant to me now.

Now? " Deja Q" is on. Another great Q episode! He loses
his powers and shit happens.

The terrorism ep. was an early one? I think I've seen it. There was a similar theme in one of season 5's Bajorans vs. Cardassians episodes.

Saw "Face of the Enemy", IIRC one of your favs Beardguy. Good story.

Today on G4:

My ALL time favorite episode.

" The Offspring"

Data creates an android daughter and names her "Lal", which means "Beloved" in Hindi.

Jonathan Frakes, who plays Commander Riker in the show directed this.

He did a brilliant job.

My only complaint:

Admiral Haftel comes to take Lal away. He casually disregards Lal's right to choose her destiny. We went through this in the second season in the excellent episode " Measure Of A Man." Data's right to choose his own destiny was established.

He must have been asleep when that occurred!

" Sins Of The Father" is on now. It is the best Worf episode up to that point, and maybe is the best Worf episode, period.

"Birthright pt. 1-2" was good, have to say that the Romulan who had created the blend of utopia and prison was quite sympathetic. He was right that people should learn to get along... but Worf was right too. The story about Data's visions/dreams in pt. 1 and that DS9 was in the ep. was nice too.

Today this afternoon, I saw an episode in which Enterprise is getting a car wash, eh, baryon sweep at Remmler station. Exciting to see Picard fighting gangsters inside Enterprise while the officers are taken hostage on some planet. However, the idea of a baryon sweep is ludicruos: since baryons are protons and neutrons, the whole ship would be destroyed. (Don't thank me, thank Lawrence M. Krauss, author of 'The Physics of Star Trek'.)

This one is called " Starship Mine", and it is a very good episode! (Even with the mistake with the baryon sweep.)

"Birthright" is very good, too!

Poor Data! He had to prove he is sentient and has rights in the second season in " The Measure of A Man", and now, in " The Most Toys", some asshole kidnaps him and tells Data that he is now in his collection.

It must suck to be an artificial lifeform sometimes.

Today :" Timescape" was on. It explores the theme of the Mobius loop - time repeating events over and over in a loop - which was already done with the fifth season entry, " Cause and Effect".... but Timescape is a cool ep.

Love seeing Picard drawing a smiley face on the warp core breach!

After that : " Liasons" - Three ambassadors from an alien world play mindgames with Troi, Worf and Picard...

Picard gets kissed by a man in this one!

" Interface" - It is just about over. It explores Geordi and his relationship with his mother. I guess I like it better than I used to.

Today on G4 :

" Remember Me."

VERY good episode. Dr. Crusher is running out of time to find out why everyone on the Enterprise is disappearing.

"Gambit parts 1 & 2" was on today. Very nice two parter!

" Phantasms'' is almost over. Cool episode. We get to see Dr. Sigmund Frued, or at least a holographic representation of him.

I must have missed "Descent parts 1 and 2." Too bad. I like that one a lot. I love the opening scene with Data in the holodeck playing poker with Prof. Stephen Hawking ( It was really him.) and Sir Isaac Newton and Einstein.`

"Reunion" and "Future Imperfect" were on G4 tonight.

The first is excellent; the second, very good!

'' Final Mission" was on today. It is a good episode, but it is bye bye to Wesley!

'' The Loss" was in after that, but I didn't watch it because I'm watching '' The Empire Strikes Back" instead!

I watched "Data's Day" on G4 tonight. It's a good episode.

Best scene in it is where Data is dancing with a beautiful holographic woman, as he learns to dance.. Dr. Crusher had told him to smile when he is dancing, to appear to be enjoying himself..and he has this very artificial smile!

Yeah, when Data smiles, he either looks silly or like his evil twin brother Lore!

Have on Wednesday and Friday seen:

'The Chase' - great ep., have seen it before but loved to see it again, the chase is after DNA trails that may be a weapon, an energy source... or something completely different. Enterprise teams up (sort-of) with Cardassians and Klingons. Loved the solution and the ending.

'Frame of Mind' - similar to the two ep:s in which Picard gets tortured by a ruthless Cardassian interogator. Riker is in Enterprise and re-hearsing (sp?) a play (same title as the ep.), then suddenly he is in a mental hospital...

'Suspicions' - 1st time I've seen a nice Ferengi. This one is a scientist who has invented a new warp drive which may be a breakthrough... or a complete disaster.

'Rightful Heir' - my man Worf is back again! Has the Klingon Messiah-figure Kahless returned... or is the man claiming to be him a fraud? Remember having seen at least the latter half of it.

"Batman is only meaningful as an answer to a world which in its basics is chaotic and in the hands of the wrong people, where no justice can be found. I think it's very suitable to our perception of the world's condition today... Batman embodies the will to resist evil" -Frank Miller

"Conan, what's the meaning of life?"
"To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women!"
-Conan the Barbarian

"Well, yeah."
-Jason E. Perkins

-Ultimate Jaburg53

"Fair enough. I defer to your expertise."
