Once again, I dont see there was any problems with the PS3 in Europe.
The only sticking point for most people was the price, which even with the cheaper than US price point, was still too rich for some peoples money.
Both the 360 and Wii suffered from supply issues, but the 360 has compounded its problems with the various quality control issues (dodgy CD eject mechanism and red ring of death).

The other big issue with the PS3 last year, was as Rex has said in the past, the lack of decent titles has not helped its cause, but with the huge titles that have already hit or are due to hit in the next few months, the price drop and the blu ray win, the PS3 now has seen a significant rise in sales (sony even said that the sales of the PS3 increased significantly on the day GTA IV was released).

One thing I will say about the Wii and its success (as opposed to the Gaycube) is that some of its success has to be attributed to the fact they are now actually advertising it and its games quite heavily here, something they have never done before (the DS is the only other system they have heavily promoted here).
