At UC-Davis, Students Can't Register Until They Concede It's Wrong to Say 'I'd Hit That'

• The University of California, Davis, requires students to complete an online activity in which they must identify certain words and phrases as "problematic" before they register for classes. Students are prompted to match "I'd hit that," "I raped that exam," "bitch," "pimp," and "slut" with the correct explanation for why each term should not be uttered.
  
  The correct answer for "I'd hit that" is, "Expression used to indicate interest in having sex with the subject of the statement. This phrase indicates an inherent connection between sex and a physically violent act."

That's just absurdly PC.
Maybe dreamed up by the Campus Support-Group For Man-Hating Lesbians.

Generally I'd say it just expresses a guy wants to have sex with a girl, and uses a trendy slang catch-phrase to express that thought. It could be argued it's crude and not respectful of women, but hardly an inherent expression of violent intent.

Any more than when someone says "hit it" to a band onstage.

Ohh, I have way too much respect for women and sensitivity toward the suggestion of domestic violence to ever talk about hitting that!

So instead of saying "I'd hit it" they should say "I want to punch her vagina in the face with my dick!"

I thought that already was an expression.
