A comic store in my area occasionally gets in 50s/early 60s "men's magazines" like ROGUE, KNIGHT and PLAYBOY.

It's hilarious to look through them, because what passed for porn in that era is so modest and non-explicit that it doesn't even rise to the level of a JC PENNY catalogue.

For its time, this was pretty hot stuff.

I would have hit that.

I just found out tonight that Jayne Mansfield's daughter is Mariska Hargitay.

I had no idea.
I posted the above link, not because it's the greatest biography, but just because it has a lot of pictures of Mariska Hargitay from over many years.
She's almost unrecognizable from the 1980's and 1990's. In particular, her role in the Seinfeld 2-part episode titled "The Pilot", where she auditions with Seinfeld for the part of Elaine.

Does anyone remember the cheesy made for TV movie with Loni Anderson as Jayne Mansfield and Arnold Schwarzennegger as Mickey Hargity?

I never saw it, but in my internet travels, I saw that Loni Anderson and Schwarzenegger did the movie.

Mickey Hargitay, like Schwarzenegger, was a body builder, so I guess that was a natural choice, for the time it was made. Loni Anderson used to be gorgeous. Man, how the mighty have fallen.

We all hit the wall. The wall always wins.

I guess in Mansfield's case, she literally hit the wall.

I didn't mean to imply Loni Anderson looks bad now, she's just not 25 anymore. For her age, I think she looks great. To me she'll always be the gorgeous secretary on WKRP, and how she looked during her glory days of superstardom in her years with Burt Reynolds, the iconic couple. She's not aging rapidly, she's just aging naturally, and she still looks great for age 73.




It's kind of sad how many actors try to prolong their glory days with a lot of plastic surgery. More often than not, it's obvious they had the surgery. There's something to be said for aging gracefully and naturally. And when they continue to age, the results of aging plastic surgery become hideous.

I just felt nudity was a neglected part of this topic about a girl who was among the the sexiest stars of her era, and a Playboy centerfold.
