• Formerly known as the Gladiator "Crush" on American Gladiators and a currently retired mixed martial arts fighter, Gina Carano makes her major acting debut this week in director Steven Soderbergh’s new spy thriller movie "Haywire" (she has previously appeared in a couple of minor releases). It may be difficult to imagine this beauty excelling in boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai, but she was at the top of her game until at least 2009, with a kickboxing record of twelve wins, one loss and one tie; and a mixed martial arts record of seven wins and one loss. Undoubtedly, her unique fighting skills combined with her stunning good looks got the attention of Hollywood, and for sure Soderbergh who’s said as much. In Haywire, Carano plays the role of Mallory Kane, a black-ops soldier who seeks the ultimate revenge after she is betrayed by her colleagues. I would have to say that win, lose or draw, this smoking hot, totally fit and fabulous “gal” is definitely worth checking out.
