I wonder if Third Echelon took his gun away from, too...

Fucking awesome. That 'last known location' and 'mark and execute' functions look like they're going to help freshen up the gameplay.
Posted By: Prometheus Re: Splinter Cell: Conviction - 2009-06-02 11:11 PM
Yep. The Mark/Execute thing is what sold it for me. That's fucking sweet...

Bit puzzled at the reasons being given for it not being on the PS3.
Rather than the normal "exclusive" paycheque, I have been reading that its because the PS3 cant handle certain things.
That seems weird, as the PS3 has far more technological capabilities than the 360.

I think its more a case of them having difficulty porting it due to the way its being programmed!

I'm sure it will be released for the 360 a couple of months later...

Eh?

Splinter Cell Conviction Delayed Until Q1 2010
Written Monday, July 27, 2009 by Dan Webb

In Ubisoft's first quarter 2009 sales report, the French publisher dealt another crippling blow as the fall period loses another game to 2010 ... this time, Splinter Cell Conviction.

Splinter Cell Conviction will now see the light of day in Q1 2010, January to March, as Ubisoft stated, "we are disappointed that we have to postpone the release of several major games but we consider that this choice is the best one in the long-term interests of Ubisoft."

In other delay news, somewhat expected as well, I Am Alive and the new Ghost Recon are also being pushed back into Ubisoft's next financial year; from April 2010 onwards. Wii fans will also have to wait until Q1 2010 for Red Steel 2 as well.

Oh well, at least we still have a least a handful of great games coming this year. It's no 2008 though, which is a good thing in some respects. But not when you look at how many amazing games are set to land in 2010 ... Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell, Bad Company 2, Final Fantasy XIII, Halo Reach, Bioshock 2, Red Dead Redemption, Dante's Inferno, Max Payne 3, Mafia II, Dead Rising 2, Bayonetta, Crackdown 2 ... ouch, now that's an expensive year!

Bad Company 2 was sposed to be out this year as well, I'm sure of it.
Posted By: Prometheus Re: Splinter Cell: Conviction - 2009-07-28 11:03 PM
Well, that's okay. I couldn't afford it right now, anyway. I'll grab it next year, along with FFXIII...

April 13th!! I shall have it!!

So, like, a friend of mine had a 360. It got the three red-lights. His warranty was up, so he went and bought a new one, cause he's a rich doctor. So, spare change. But, he gave me his broken one, because he was going to throw it away. I did some light research (I went to their website) and sent it in to Microsoft under a "post-warranty" coverage. They recognized the model I sent in was first-gen 360, and just sent me a brand new model with the HDMI port. It was all free.

Now, I shall play Splinter Cell.

And other 360 games. And stuff. Once I figure out these gay controls...

Isnt that what 360 owners say when they turn their machine on every couple of months and are greeted by those 3 red lights?
