Google Rushes to Fix Photo Software That Tagged African-Americans as ‘Gorillas’: When Jacky Alcine looked at his Google Photos app recently, he was appalled by what he saw. The facial recognition software had tagged pictures of him and a friend, both of them African-Americans, with the word “Gorillas.”

Google deserves it for thinking that they can design an algorithm for everything. It's why their search engine is a mess these days. They created all sorts of algorithms that assign quality to content, and people just ended up abusing said algorithms to get better visibility for spam. They're at the point now where they have to release regular algorithm updates just to keep up with spammers, and it's throwing the usability of their search engine in the gutter.

...and the only thing that's keeping them on top these days is the fact that their closest competitor is Bing.

I've never been able to figure out what the point of Bing is. Google is clearly a Democrat ally, and orchestrates an Orwellian level of information and message control.
I'm surprised no one has attempted to create search engine that doesn't use algorithms to weed out the opinion of half of America.
