The AUD was rogering the bleeding crap out of every other currency under the sun until the Reserve Bank of Australia dropped interest rates and big money investors ran for higher yielding currences and it went limper than Son of Mxy after a heavy night of anime porn.

During this glory time of three months I bought some stuff:

1. the three ultimate Sandman hardcovers. Nice. Damn things are huge.

2. limited edition Rocketeer hardcover. bsams was right - bit boring, but ok. Nice art, with some surprising cheesecake.

3. Lost Girls hardcover by Alan Moore. Haven't read it yet.

4. Dirty, the 12th tpb of 100 Bullets. Excellent. Throughly fucking brutal. I hope that scarfaced mother fucker Minuteman gets the living shit knocked out of him, but so far only the good guys are gtting killed. Spoilers. And nice karma by Lono's rape victim, years later.
When the world wide recession hits you will have your tpbs to keep you warm.
You can start fires by rubbing two sandman hardcovers together.
You am better keep you little chinee hands off URG's funny books, little SOM person.
I WILL BURN YOUR BOOKS!
Urg am have to do it in the winter soon anyway to keep the cave warm.
It is no surprise that Dave bought shit on eBay.

Fuck. I totally want this, but it still hasn't come out here as far as I know. The scarfaced guy - you talking about the guy who killed Wylie? And can't wait for the karma bit. Can't stand Lono and don't know why people love him so fucking much. I hope his end is ugly and brutal.
Darling, its out. Pick it up.

I don't get why anyone would like Lono. He's a rapist, a sadist and a thug. He's not even doing a very good job of being warlord. There's not much to like about any of the Minutemen, save Wylie (a good man who did the worst thing possible to hiself and to the woman he loved) and maybe Cole Burns.

The Saint (Remi) is te scar-faced bastard I refer to. Victor Ray (the Rain) is not much better. Jack (the Monster) is just a dangerous drug addict. The Bastard redeemed himself in letting himself get killed, because he didn't like himself.

So Wylie is dead, Shepherd is dead and most of the Trust are dead. There will be a big showdown between the two factions at some stage: Lono (the Dog) who is the warlord of the Trust with Jack and Loop, v. Graves wih Burns, Dizzy, Remi, and Victor Ray. And now we have an old player, a retired Minuteman back in play. The last few issues will be excellent, bringing us up to 100.
Spoilers!
Are they still stopping at 100 issues? I've been wanting to read it but I kinda wanna read the whole run at one time.

Yeah, apparently.

I have to say though that its better read slowly. Its a story designed for single issues. I started picking them up in tpbs from "Six foot under the Gun" (the 6th tpb) and regret that I didn't start them as single issues.
I thought that as I was reading "Dirty" that and it's been so long since I read the rest I couldn;t remember what was going on!
I will be having a big run through before "bakers" coems out (well that's my guess, surely "unlucky" is too obvious?)
Or perhaps "Friday"?
Good call! We should have a betting pool, cos y'know, we're geeks with nothing better to do!
That's not a bad idea. They announce the tpb title a few months ahead of release so we shouldn't have to wait too long. In all likelihood it will be the last one - Dirty was very short, so as, I suspect, to capture the last arc in one tpb.
Yeah, the rear cover says it's the penultimate collection.
