If not that definitely before Batman: The Darker Knights Returns.

Dude, they are gonna find the belt and the marking on the cave wall, and go back in time and save his ass.

Until then Bruce will walk the Earth solving problems using Kung-Fu.

When he gets back he will fight and beat the snot out of "New" Batman (Who hopefully be Jason Todd) who is an "evil" Batman.

I don't know what writers have been doing with Jason Todd but he could be put to good use.

Hopefully get a Punisher like Batman for a bit to satisfy that guilty pleasure.

Unfortunately I don't think DC has anybody good enough to do it well.

Sounds like Obsidian Age meets the Az-Bats saga.

Oooh! I checked out a comic of the Bat-Man with Nightwing and Robin finding Tommy Elliot who now looks like Bruce. Tommy was captured and threatened to escape but Robin and Nightwing told him there's no escape with all the reinforcements Bruce's penthouse has (that's where Tommy is being held, you see). So part of the teaser image makes sense now.
