I've been enjoying THE LEGION ever since the new #1. I seriously disliked Olivier Coipel's art when he ddubted, but by the time the regular series started up again, he was blowing my mind. Also, Abnett & Lanning have shown repeatedly that they can tell a story COHERENTLY, they have a tight grasp on individual CHARACTERIZATIONS, and that they have a real interest and grasp in science-fiction. What a combo! More to the point-- HOW RARE-- especially on this series over the last 10 years.

Well, now we have Chris Batista, and from his 1st issue, I have been blown away like nothing I've seen since Stuart Immonen, Chris Sprouse or Jeff Moy. WOW!!!

Is THIS what happens when Mike McAvennie gets replaced? I can't imagine it's just a coincidence.

GO, LEGION!

And Rob-- could you please "clean up" the mess somebody's making? Thanks!

It took them a while - The "Legion of the Damned" storyline was downright awful, and "Legion Lost" wasn't great - but the creative team had it all together by the time THE LEGION debuted.

Batista's art isn't bad, though I still don't like his heads. The colorist has been fantastic.
