How many times is Slam going to beat down, stapped or shot?

Maybe Zeiss finally killed the poor old bastard.

I'm pretty sure Brubaker is setting up Slam to be the Miles O'Brien of the Catwoman series - he constantly gets the shit end of the stick, but damned if it isn't fun watching him recoup and come back better than ever.

How many times has Slam been injured since this book began, anyway? I know he got shot in 'Selina's Big Score', beaten up by some of the Mayor's goons in the 'Trail of the Catwoman' 'TEC back-ups, beaten up in a bar at the beginning of the Relentless saga, hit by a car just one issue later (the bar-fight bruises had miraculously healed by that time, of course), had the crap kicked out of him by our favorite pointy-eared man of mystery, and then shot by Ziess in #26. Anything I missed?

And yes, I'm fully aware how very nerdy my cross-referencing is. Mock if you like, but I'll work in a Deep Space Nine reference whenever I can.

I love seeing DS9 references. Soon as I can afford it I'm getting year 7 to complete my DVD sets.
Anyway, I think Slam is fairing pretty well considering how old people generally don't heal that fast. Then again, nothing seems to stop Llance.

Catwoman met Bobo in the issue where she went to Opal City, and remarked how well he'd get along with Slam. Selina and Holly also took in the Starman Museum while in town. I don't collect Catwoman regularly, but couldn't resist that issue.

That and Ted appearing in that storyline is what put the idea in me head.

Is Brubaker still pushing the Slam/Catwoman relationship?

I was really enjoying Catwoman until he started throwing that crap in there. More Batman, less Slam, please.

Slam Bradley has been around since the 30s. He must be on triple doses of Viagra to be doing the rounds with Selina.
