wind waker 2

In a late-afternoon presentation at the Game Developers Conference 2004 entitled The Evolution of a Franchise: The Legend of Zelda, Nintendo's newest The Wind Waker director, Eiji Aonuma inadvertently confirmed a sequel to the recent GameCube release. Tentatively called The Wind Waker 2 in the Zelda history timeline presented, the new GameCube adventure is set for a 2XXX release.

It's far from any truly new information, but now we can be sure that Mr. Aonuma is indeed directing a new Zelda quest for GCN.

He noted we would hear more about it at E3, and even hinted that the Zelda franchise might see further evolutions on the forthcoming DS handheld system.

I'd prefer something different.

So they're saying the release date is in the year 2XXX? That's funny, they think they could take more than 100 years to finish it?

that actually indicates it could be almost a thousand years until its complete. pretty impressive -- almost like halo 2!

though i'd have preferred a non water-based game, odds are, wind waker 2 will use the same basic engine as wind waker did, in an effort to release the game "quicklier"

in the end, tho, i guess it doesnt matter. as long as i have a zelda game to play!

I'd rather have another land-based game myself. All that sailing got my LAST nerve! Maybe something along the lines of Orc/Time.

Ah, well. Glad to hear it's a new game coming tho.

Dammit dammit dammit!! Why can't they just go off of the old homerun Ocarina of Time storyline again. That was THE BEST Zelda game ever with THE BEST and most well backed up and put together story in game playing history. I love Shigeru's and Kojima's games, but they can never stick to any type of story. The only reaons I overlook it so much is because gameplay is different from a written out story.

I know, I know, this coming from the continuity buff Pariah. But seriously, I want to stick to and play ONE character, ONE hero, THE Link. Not a bunch of other Link's.

If there aren't enough differences I don't think I'll be buying this game. I liked Wind Waker but not enough to play it a second time. In fact, I couldn't be arsed to play the second slightly different adventure and I'm trying to sell the game right now.
