In Neverkamp they use them instead of toilet paper. I thought that's why you wanted them!

Just saw George Pal's Destination Moon yesterday for the first time...Gads, what a frickin' letdown. Even making allowances for the fact that '50s moviemakers didn't have the advantage of being able to work with CGI or Industrial Light & Magic, this movie stunk to high heaven. If it hadn't been for the Woody Woodpecker cartoon at the ten-minute mark explaining the basics of rocket propulsion, I would have written Moon off as a total failure.

S. Darko - Sucked.

The Last Boy Scout - A co-worker loaned this to me. I'd never seen it before. I regret not watching it sooner. Perfect example of why I love 90s movies.

Anvil! The Story of Anvil

I didn't know too much about this band before I watched this but to me they seem like a band with talent but absolutely no brains. Its both hilarious and depressing watching them fuck up every good opportunity they've gotten over the last 20 years.

The best part of the documentary was when a guy said he would be their manager and make them popular again and they don't ever do anything about it. This whole this has a snarfian vibe to it.

Annoyingly, its not the directors cut, so I am pretty pissed off.
Will probably put this up for sale and import a copy.

I was disappointed with the directors cut. Alot of what they cut out is crap. Some shit was added in that had to do with Curse of the Black Freighter but COTBF isn't edited into the film.

The murder of Hollis Mason was fucking awesome though.

There's a version with 20 extra minutes going around the torrent sites. That's not the director's cut. The Director's cut comes out at the end of the month and it has 40 extra minutes, I believe.

Well the Directors cut DVD is already out, and claims to have only 24mins extra.

Ohh, I thought the one called "Director's Cut" would be the one the Director has been telling people to wait for, but apparently that's called "Ultimate Collector's Edition" and comes out in December:

In December, 2009, an "Ultimate Collector's Edition" will be released. The five-disc set will include the director's cut of the film with Tales of the Black Freighter woven in, new commentaries by Zack Snyder and Dave Gibbons, the complete Watchmen Motion Comics, and over 2 hours of bonus content including Under the Hood, which was previously released on the Tales of the Black Freighter DVD.

I'm waiting for that one to come out to watch the thing again. No way I'm seeing this movie three times in a year.

Awesome movie. The sequel, Robocop on a Pegasus, was very derivative, though.

I've been watching the Brannagh/ DeNiro version of Frankenstein on OnDemand. It's not bad.

On Demand is not DVD, Snarf. Please pay attention.

It isn't bad, but it isn't great. For all it's brilliance it is boring.
