 Watched this last night. It's actually pretty damned good. Written and directed by the same guy who did the 'Batman: Dead End' and 'World's Finest' shorts. A couple of plot holes at the end, but still a cool movie.  Good, ole fashioned AIP fun with Vincent Price.  Ah, 80's TV. Where everywhere in the world looks like southern California.

Forgot who recommended it to me but I started watching How I met Your mother. I'm in season two and I'm enjoying it so far other than the crappy typical sitcom romances. The actors in this are what make it good.

 A highly fictionalized biopic of the man who trained Bruce Lee in Kung Fu.  The sequel just as highly fictionalized. Especially considering that the same kid plays his son in this movie as the first, even though the events take place about a decade apart with only two years between the actual films themselves.

It popped up on my Instant Que last night (it was way down on my mailing list). Good fight scenes. Samo Hung is in a supportive role in this one. It pretty much copies the basic structure of the first movie with Ip Man defending the honor of China and Kung Fu.

Saw that recently as well. I need to pick up the Blu-Ray of it.
That street that Conan made the "no one lives in this town" joke is usually really busy. I was going to hang out there on that day but it was freakishly cold and windy on that day. If I would have known they would have been shooting this movie I would have risked it.

 I haven't been this sucked into a show since The Shield. I just finished the first season and if they keep up the quality for the other four seasons it will easily be one of my all time favorite shows.

Just watched the season finale of Breaking Bad. Again.

Just finished watching the first four seasons of Mad Men. Damn, it's a really well done show. I like the fact that they'll surprise out from out of no where with some crazy shit. Very good cast, even the little girl who plays Sally Draper is good. Cosgrove is one of my favorite characters of the show. I'm glad they dumped Paul Kinsey. He was just a douche. John Slattery is an amusing motherfucker. I'm also glad to see that Dewey Hogg was able to make something of himself.

I'm thinking of re-watching them again soon. The new season starts in March and I'm already forgetting things that have happened.
I finished Friday Night Lights. I didn't care for the last two seasons. They should have just ended everything with the original cast and not have bothered with the new school. I have no interest is the new movie.
I also started watching Breaking Bad. I wish I would have gotten into it earlier. I already knew just about everything that happened in the first season. I'm hoping there some twists I don't know about.

X-men first class was good. The brief Wolverine scene was funny.

Uzumaki, it was stupid and crappy, which is a shame because the comic it was based on was awesome in an H.P. Lovecraft sort of way. I loved Uzumaki. That said, I love that Sushi Typhoon is taking Japanese horror the opposite way from the "creepy girl with hair over face" school with flicks like Tokyo Gore Police, Helldriver, Vampire Girl vs Frankenstein Girl, Alien vs Ninja, and the like.

I loved the story (it works as a summary of the first half of the comic), but the technical aspects were awkward. It's like they weren't sure if it's going to be comedic, stylistic, or whatevs. The comic was plain creepy and had more disturbing moments, like the survivors eating the snail people raw, with one of them actually sticking his body inside the shell just to eat the face of his former friend (the ending was also more confusing, the curse was put by aliens?!).

Just starting BBC Home Video's DVD set of the sci-fi series "Survivors". It's a post-apocalyptic drama in which the proverbial killer virus has wiped out 99% of the human race and the remaining 1% are trying to hold what's left of civilization together.
