Or maybe 51% saw through your "documentary" for the misleading garbage it was.

It wasn't all garbage. Moore had a platform and he also had the backing to make a credible documentary but he played loose with the facts.

In doing so, he's damaged not just his own repuation but also the credibility of any documentary that attempts criticise the current American political administration.

I've watched Moore, who basically has good intentions, slowly turn into a bit of a monster. I hope that he learns the lessons from his previous film, but whether he does or not, his subsequent work will always be looked on with a degree of scepticism.

I saw him on the pre-election Question Time special. He made some really good points and then derailled his credibility with mindless attacks.

Politics aside, this is as close an admission that Moore is in this for the big bucks as anything.

Fahrenheit 9/12: help me give it up already

i don't outright hate moore, like many do. i just think he's a film maker with his own opinions. his one line on a "daily show" appearance really struck home with me, saying that he was purposely being unfair, and that f911 wasn't (necessarily) the truth, per se, but rather his beliefs. he edited the film to make it look like his claims were accurate ... really no different than what, say, spielberg did in his retelling of the holocaust.

that, i think, should remove the "documentary" label applied to his films, as they're more so perspective pieces, that'd go in the "op ed" section of a newspaper. even the big man himself plopped his movie in the best film section at the awards show, rather than documentary.

but, all that said... its more than a little pompous to come out and say that everyone that disagreed with him, which is the majority of the country, is wrong and uneducated. thats actually not just pompous, but partially crazy. you'll note michael jackson has the same thoughts ... "no... you're being ignant..."

f9/11 was at least presented under the guise of a propoganda or campaigning measure. but despite moore's ideals, bush won again. but i think a 9/12 would come off more so as a "sour grapes" scenario.

let it go, boyo.

Just because he admits he's an asshole when it comes to this doesn't mean he's not an asshole when it comes to that.

Ugh. That's an a-w-f-u-l comparison. What was shown in Schindler's List cannot be debated. It happened. It was accurate.

No, it wasn't. It was presented under the guise of being a legitimate documentary. Lemmings in the media referred to it as a documentary constantly. The Internet Movie Database refers to as a "documentary/war" movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361596/

Rotten Tomatoes named it a documentary as well
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/fahrenheit_911/

Finally, it won the award at Cannes for best documentary.

Moore duped plenty of myopic idiots, two of which post here.

Gee, hopefully it doesn't have the same devestating effect on the Republican party that it did this time.

No one ever provided a good lie that's "supposedly in the movie." There's not a single lie in F-9/11.

JQ already got slapped around about that before.

Me thinks he's trolling (again).
