I disagree.

After J-Lo went black she should have never gone back. This defied centuries of proud tradition.

That's almost as bad as me saying that I'm proud of Vanilla Ice.

I would have a two team JLA.

The in the front smile at the camera guys:

Superpud

Wonder Panties

Green Flashlight - Kyle

The Streak

That Rubber Dude

Zatanna

The old Green Arrow

Also I'd have a second team that is not exactly media friendly:

Da Bat Guy

Dances With Fishes

Green Flashlight - John

Martian Masterbater

Doctor Fate

The guy who knows what it's like to shoot arrows AND horse

Mr Majestic

Wolverine

I mean like the real guys I just made up the funny names to add more of an element of fun to my list.

The last two I didn't so you'd know who I was talking about.

I quite like the idea of Mr Majestic joining the JLA.

It's settled then.

Under no circumstances will he ever be permitted to join.

Ever.

Jaburg, he is called Mr JLA, you know. He's called that because he's the man who says who is in and who is out. Mr JLA is actually Paul Levitz.

Shut up, Ernesto, I'm trying to make you look good.

I'd also like to see the Crimson Avenger in the JLA. I read somewhere that he was the first masked hero ever, and if that's correct, it makes sense for him to be in it.

..............Paul Levitz, MisterJLA, or Crimson Avenger?

I had actually thought of Crimson Avenger, myself. However, I didn't know that we could resurrect characters. So, no doubt. Keep him simple, too. Domino mask, fedora, and two .45's.

And fuck the "new" Crimson Avenger. Lame, lame, lame....

I quite like the new CA with the blindfold and perpetually bleeding gunshot wound to the chest. But I had in mind the old version.

I had thought this too. Chase is a good choice, but I think as an icon (or a parallel to an icon), Axel Brass would be better.

I actually considered putting Brass on the team as well, but decided against it, due to his legs being so desperately in need of physical therapy. If he makes a return in Planetary towards the end, then I may well change my mind.

I kind of figure that if they can bring back characters from the dead, Brass can make a remarkable recovery.

The Milestone characters are a good call. Isn't Static Shock now on TV in the States?

Yes. Yes he is. But if they're going to resurrect any Milestone book, it should be Blood Syndicate.

I think it's still on. Word is that they wanted Static for the new Teen Titans book, but couldn't get the rights. Would've been interesting to see.

If DC was to buy Fathom off Mark Silvestri (not a remote thing to happen, given Silvestri's fight with Image), would youo stick her in JLA?

Or if Larsen was to sell the Savage Dragon to DC, would he be a candidate?

Or do you think the JLA is the preserve of DC's major icons?

Actually, I want to make some slight modifications to my line-up. Expand it to 16, drop Red Tornado (I'd rather see him in JSA, anyway), have both Zatanna and Black Canary, and throw in Animal Man.

I think there does have to be some Iconic sense to the group, although it doesn't have to be that way all the time. The Giffen era proved you can be successful without them.

Dragon could certainly a candidate, given the length of time he's been around. Play up the aspect that he's essentially a cop assigned a beat to hang out with these remote, godlike vigilantes. Yeah, it could work.

I don't know too much about Fathom, but she could potentially be a good replacement for Aquaman.
