It can be, but most of the time the only stuff they have at parties are beer, which tastes like piss, in my opinion. There's no flavor, the alchohol completely dominates it. So, I usually mix rum or vodka with something like Coke.

When I was in my late teens and early 20s - in common with a lot of people that age, I sampled a broad variety of drugs. I particularly liked downers. I have a very hyperactive mind and they would often settle me to the point where I could form clear trains of thought without interrupting myself.
I also found Speed to be very good for studying as it focused my concentration; however the physical side effects were not pleasant. Amphetamines will wear your body down faster than anything.
I never knowingly took ecstasy although sometimes it's difficult to tell what you're getting. I certainly have never taken cocaine. I associate it with a certain type of person - It's the drug of choice for the metropolitan, upper middle classes. Aside for blowing-up the user’s ego to epic proportions the drug doesn’t appear to have any positive effects.
Hallucinogens were like rollercoasters that kept getting faster and faster. You would think you’d reached a peak and then it would just keep building in intensity. It’s a strangely addictive sensation. I didn’t take all that many serious trips, but I remember them all and I still have flashbacks.
My last serious drug episode occurred in the months following my Grandmother’s death when I methodically worked my way though a substantial supply of morphine that had been building up in her bedside drawer.
These days I smoke pot a couple of times a month, chew Qat on the rare occasions I can find it and I take mushrooms three or four times a year. I like mushrooms a lot; they make you realise how much you routinely take for granted. You couldn’t function in that state all the time. You would spend you life open-eyed in absolute wonder at how god damn beautiful the world is and nothing would ever get done. It’s a nice mental space to dip your toes into every now and then but you have to treat it with respect.

I do no illegal druggs. Only the (very) occasional drink and tobacco and when i say tobacco, I don't mean the pinch of tobacco they add to tar, amonia, and monkey cum they make cigerettes out of, I mean pure tobbaco from either a pipe or cigar and a Moroccan friend of mine is going to introduce me to some good middle eastern and north african tobaccos by way of his hooka.

Aside from alcohol, medicine, and an occasional cigar, I've never done drugs. It's just never been my thing. I've been to parties where they were offered, but I politely refused and no one ever tried to "make me" use them. Basically, the attitude was "If he doesn't want any, that's more for us".
That said, when I do drink, I have the type of tolerance that makes a Kennedy say "Slow down..."

spray paint and rubber cement were good back in the day. but i've stopped using those. B.V. bud is the weekend drug of choice. there's the occasional pills to. and i enjoyed coke last summer.
And, to be fair, one of my favorite friends there is blind and I take every opportunity available to make fun of that and we're still friends. That guy never fit there. He never got the spirit of the RKMBs. We're gonna keep an eye on the obits, see if he finally left or if he really did have a heart attack.

Ecstacy: My gateway drug and still drug of choice. Used to drop mad rolls around 2000-2001. Taken in moderation its actually made me a better person. I am more extraverted now even without it. It taught some things that I can honestly say Im glad I've experienced it. I recommend everyone try it at least once as it chemically creates one of the most fantastic experiences you can imagine. Ill average this nowadays once or twice a year.
Dope: The drug I do mostly nowadays. A really mellow buzz to treat myself on the weekends. Ganj really takes the edge off.
Booze: I hate this drug. Ill use it soley in social situations.
Shrooms: Only tried it a couple times. Fun as shit, especially for the visually stimulated. Be aware very possible spells of paranoia.
Opium: Smoked this once. Decent time.
Hash: If pot had a life force this would be the essence. Highly recommend.
Coke: No where near worth the price. It gives you a mild buzz and only makes you want more of it. Fuck the dependency. I hate that aspect.
Cigarettes: Never smoke them. Never will. These will in all probability kill you. 1 out of 3 people at least. Look at those numbers and try to rationalize the legality of all of these.
GHB: Liquid ecstacy: Be VERY careful with this. Easy to overdose. Take in mild teaspoon doses as an accompaniment with actual MDMA ecstacy.
Inhalants: Sophomoric and unhealthy but tried a few times for kicks.
