Now, I know that throughtout the years, there have been five different releases of "Bladerunner" in the VHS format...

1983 Embassy Home Video (international cut)
1986 Embassy Home Video (international cut)
1987 Nelson Home Video (international cut)
1992 New Line Home Video (international cut, 10th anniversary version)
1992 Warner Home Video ("director's Cut")

All versions that are previous to the current Warner release (which is still widely available) have been discontinued, and about 2 years ago I picked up what I believed to be a VHS copy of the first, original Embassy release of the VHS (1983) at a local flea market for 5 bucks. Currently givin' some thought on trying to collect all the different VHS versions of the flick, and was wonderin' what differences in packaging the 1983 and 1986 Embassy versions have (i.e., are they copyrighted differently?, etc.,) so's I can tell the difference.

I already have, like I said, what I believe to be the 1983 Embassy version (which I purchased because it's a copy of the original international theatrical cut, which I prefer immensely more than the so-called "Director's Cut" that Warner Bros. offers now on VHS and DVD)and the ...um,...Warner Bros. 1992 version (that I was just talkin' about), and have tabs on gettin' a copy of the Nelson release.

Are there any die-hard video cassette collectors out there that can help me with this ?

So that's why M. Emmett Walsh's character refers to replicants as "skin jobs"....
who woulda thunk?

In the European release of Mission Erotica when She and Heather Hunter meet Peter North, it is quite clear that Kobes eyes glint in a replicant fashion.

I love Blade Runner but I can't help you on US releases!
