do you think this was flairs last match? i mean, i can definitely see him return as a commissioner or something (suit flair rules!) and, with that role, he could always jump in to save or impact a match in some fashion, ala the king.
granted, in wrassling, "retirement" matches don't mean anything. especially for flair, who i believe has retired 17 or 18 times prior. but from what i saw of the reaction here and the hall of fame last night, the emotion level was really high, as if it were an official in-ring retirement.

i think flairs intention is to retire permanent, i just dont know if his wallet will allow it... He had been asking WWE to lessen his in ring role since he was in Evolution, but they kept saying they needed him as an in ring performer, so he has wanted to retire for some years now. I think something similar to Lawler (as mentioned) will probably be the way to go. He would be a natural manager, who from time to time would be forced/feel the need, to step back into the ring. I dont see him being as bad as Terry Funk (sorry to ruin your joke Snarf) as Funk has never been able to save any money, and has had to have so many surgeries, he needs to pay huge medical bills! Flair has probably wasted a lot of money, but I'm sure he has saved some of it in recent years, even with the divorce!

flair had to go on a 6 month house show run to get the $ to bankroll his share of his finance company he recently started as he lost his gyms with 2 divorces ago, and his restaurants with his last one.
he has asked off wrestling so many dates, but he wanted the same $, and vince wasnt gunna do that...

ORLANDO, Fla. -- At least 40 people were hurt when fireworks and cables landed on the crowd packed in the Citrus Bowl for Wrestlemania on Sunday night, according to the Orlando Fire Department.
During the last fireworks event of the show, eyewitnesses said, fireworks plunged into the crowd and exploded. At least three people were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with burns.
Firefighters with the Orlando Fire Department said the fans who were taken to ORMC weren't seriously hurt, but some of the victims said for them the WWE's reputation is now in bad shape.
Tens of thousands of wrestling fans flocked to Wrestlemania for the experience of a lifetime, but at least 35 fans left with ice packs on their necks and three left in an ambulance.
"It felt like a whip. I have a welt on my neck," said victim Barbara Vetere. "Like a baseball bat hit me. It was horrible. Horrible."
A pyrotechnics malfunction sent fireworks and hot cables flying into crowded stands during the final wrestling match.
"You can see the marks on a few people where hot wires crossed and fireworks touched them," said Asst. Chief Greg Hoggatt, of the Orlando Fire Department.
Firefighters said they acted quickly, but fans told a different story.
"We had to sit up in the bleachers and wait for a paramedic to come. They didn't really examine us. And we had to walk all the way down to first aid and had to ask for a bag of ice just to put on our head," Vetere added.
Channel 9 placed a call to the WWE to ask them how the accident could happen. The call was not immediately returned.
