I like O'Reilly a lot. I think he plays to the camera a bit much sometimes, but he really is one of the only guys out there looking out for all of us little swarthy people.

They are all cheerleaders for the left or right. There whole purpose is to spread the hate. They are the worst things on television.

I don't think you can call Oreilly a cheerleader for the right. He comes down pretty hard on the neocons. I think he has an ego, but he trumpets his views not the agenda of the right.

Unlike the clearly conservative Hannity, O'Reilly is actually neither left nor right. He's a populist. He only seems "right wing" in comparison to the center-left reporters and commentators on most other network shows.

I think the fact that he is on FOX gives the impression he is as it is painted as a totally right wing station.

I've seen his show. I've read most of his books. I've listened to his radio show.

He says he's not right wing but he really is. He sees everything though his religion and is as emotionally stunted as anyone else that has a show during prime time on a "news" network.

I dont see that he sees everything through religion. I see that he defends peoples rights to worship. I have never heard him try to push religion on anyone. Even at that rex, being right wing is more than religion.

Maybe that was the wrong phrase. He uses emotion and insults to "win" discussions. What he says has very little to do with facts or the truth. Its all about winning the argument for him.

I agree with some of the things he's said. As far as I know he's one of the few people in the media that are honest about how being poor in America is. He was one of the few that told the truth about the real Katrina disaster. Its a shame most of the other stuff he says is complete crap.

I can barely stand O'Reilly. He makes good points sometimes, but that's eclipsed by his "up-my-own-ass" attitude.

I prefer Larry Eldar and Tammy Bruce myself. And, on occasion, Rush Limbaugh.

As odd as it sounds, I also like watching Alan Colmes and Juan Williams. They're good guys.

I hate people like that.

O'Reilly may be center-right but he goes after bad people in both parties. He's a good guy and has uncovered some of the biggest scandals in the past ten years. The billions of dollars raised by the United Way and Red Cross for 9/11 victims was being grossly abused. Almost 40% of the money was going to go to "operating costs" until O'Reilly blew the whistle on them and exposed those two scumbag charities for what they were.

Hannity is worse than O'Reilly...I like Colmes.

Several I can think of offhand that don't pander solely to either the Left or Right include Glenn Beck, Lou Dobbs, and Pat Buchanan.

While Buchanan prior to 1992 was the quintessence of Reagan Republicanism and the Republican party, he has been an outsider for well over a decade. He is a conservative, but not a Republican. Read his book Where the Right Went Wrong(2004), or his more recent Day of Reckoning(2007).

Others in government that I trust include Republican Representative Vin Weber, and Democrat Senator from North Dakota Byron Dorgan, Exiting Republican Representative Tom Tancredo, and many others. Granted, they're not the majority in Washington, but I do think there are patriotic pundits and leaders, who either don't want greater power or higher office, or are leveraged aside by special interests.

Hannity sometimes can make good points (such as exposing Obama's ties to radicals) but he's so cocky and partisan that I don't think anyone who's not a Republican already would listen to anything he says. I only saw Hannity the first time on FOX 6 months ago, and have never heard his radio broadcast (of the radio shows of O'Reilly, Beck or others. I haven't heard a Limbaugh radio program in about 10 years.

I do like Colmes (who is leaving the show). About 20% of the time he makes good points, and makes his points with friendliness and humor to the point that I can enjoy his POV even when I disagree with him. So unlike bitter angry liberals like Al Franken. Colmes will be leaving the show soon.
