A millionaire businessman made his employees eat burgers after one complained about the food at a five star hotel.
Damon Buffini, chairman of private equity firm Permira who was raised by his single mother on a Leicester council estate, was appalled, reports the Daily Telegraph.
He told the workers, many of whom earned tens of millions of pounds during the boom years, for failing to appreciate "how lucky they were".
The incident happened at the firm's annual week away at the Pennyhill Park in Surrey, which charges more than £1,000 a night for suites.
He ordered that the kitchen serve burgers the following evening and, during dinner, took it upon himself to personally admonish his staff for their attitude.
The firm declined to comment, but one insider who was at the get together, confirmed that Mr Buffini had angrily taken people to task during the burger supper.
The hotel, which has a Michelin star restaurant, is best known for being the England rugby team's base during the Six Nations.

Um... maybe this is a Limey thing, but how is eating hamburgers a punishment? I think the point is that these guys are all spoilt and only eat posh food that costs a fortune, and the one guy, who wasnt even paying for it, decided to complain. So the boss, who grew up working class, was punishing them by feeding them the food of the lower classes. The fact that you do not see hamburgers as punishment is the point he is trying to make, that working class people like you or I cannot afford to have such overly high standards, and appreciate things for what they are, and are not stuck up freeloaders.

And, to be fair, one of my favorite friends there is blind and I take every opportunity available to make fun of that and we're still friends. That guy never fit there.
