Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff have reportedly pushed for this to take place. It remains to be seen if a final decision has been made.

i know it sounds trivial and stupid, but that's actually one of the big things i hate about TNA. there doesn't seem to be any advantage or bonus in having additional sides; it just makes it look different at best, cheesey at worst.

its neither trivial or stupid to dislike the 6 sided ring. Its just a pointless gimmick for tna to be different for difference sake rather than adding anything new.
Ultimate x matches are just modified ladder matches but they do add something new, the six sided ring doesnt
