Taxpayers May be Put on Hook for Teamsters’ Shenanigans: Sen. Robert Casey (D., Pa.) and Rep. Earl Pomeroy (D., N.D.) are pushing legislation that would commit taxpayers’ dollars to bailing out the Teamsters’ retirement pension fund.
A lot of people think the automaker bailout was really just a favor to big labor. Some people defend that bailout because they think it saved jobs. But even if that were true, now these democrats are proposing that we bailout out the unions themselves.
Does anyone see this as anything but a favor to big labor?
