I didn't know that you made demands to Bioware.

Go fuck yourself rex. I'm entitled to an ending that isn't shit, especially when they said the ending won't leave questions, and that there wouldn't be "A,B,C" ending choices.

I wouldn't have cared one way or another if Bioware hadn't changed their original ending. I find it funny, though, that rex doesn't think that consumers have the right to voice their displeasure in products that they've bought.

I've bitched about things before, I just don't think someone should change what they created just over some cry babies. If you're mad at how something was made and think you can do better, go make your own video game. Nothing is ever going to please everyone. They should have stuck with what they did in the first place.

So you're mad that a corporation made a move to make more money instead of alienating its customer base and driving them away.

It was their decision to make, I just don't agree with it. I was thinking about starting the Mass Effect games soon but this will probably make me not do so.

What if the strategy was to piss them off all along so they could make even more money off it?

I will be very surprised if they offer the DLC to fix the ending for free.

So you have no room to make comment. I'm sure if you spent hundreds of hours and a couple hundred dollars over 5 years in a game where every decision mattered and affects the ending and there was so many different conversation choices that you could play the game differently every time, to being given two choices in a conversation that usually ends up being the same and the same ending in 3 different colors no matter how good or bad you played that you'd be pissed at it too.

So you should have artistic control over anything you buy? Does that mean I can petition the Lost creators to remake the last season because it sucked? Should I tell Sony and Marvel that they should remake Spider-Man 3 so it isn't so emo and pointless?

Some people thought the ending of Mass Effect 3 sucked, big fucking deal. Bioware giving into them is like America giving into the occutards.

Here's the huge fucking problem we need to consider: Bioware can't actually speak from a position of artistic integrity since all of their story-telling decisions are run by EA. Mass Effect 3 was--in effect--a dramatic departure from the second game because of EA. So whatever decision that has been made or will be made will have nothing to do with art.

So really, it's kinda silly to quibble on that point. I understand where you're coming from, but the entire game was micro-managed by Bioware's big brother in the first place. So whatever changes that come later on aren't gonna be much different in nature than the ones that came prior.

And how about the fact that bioware said all your choices from the first game would affect this one, or the fact that there were supposed be a multitude of endings, not a,b, or c. How about the only way to get the extra "breath" cut scene is to play multiplayer when bioware said that wouldn't be necessary. How about up until a month ago, they were saying our questions would be answered.

Now they're saying there's going to be dlc to answer them? And a writers note was released that said "lots of speculation for everyone" when referencing the ending. This was the plan all along. Its an incomplete game with an ending that makes no sense. Its not art its extortion. "pay us money and we'll tell you want the ending means!"

No one paid $60 to see Spider-man 3. ME3 is easily fixed with a DLC, which they probably already made to be honest. It's no different than a studio releasing a Director's Cut DVD with an alternate ending. And, yes, you angry little troll, you can petition the Lost guys to remake the last season if you want. Doesn't mean that they'll do it as I don't see them making any money off of it. But an audience has the right to make any demands they want. The video game industry is just in a better position at this point in their history to actually do something.

Interview with Mac Walters (Lead Writer)
http://popwatch.ew.com/2012/02/28/mass-effect-3-mac-walters/

“[The presence of the Rachni] has huge consequences in Mass
Effect 3. Even just in the final battle with the Reapers.”

Interview with Mac Walters (Lead Writer)
http://business.financialpost.com/2012/0...-all-audiences/

“I’m always leery of saying there are 'optimal' endings, because I think
one of the things we do try to do is make different endings that are
optimal for different people “

Interview with Mike Gamble (Associate Producer)
http://www.computerandvideogames.com/334...missing-in-me2/

“And, to be honest, you [the fans] are crafting your Mass Effect story as
much as we are anyway.”

Interview with Mike Gamble (Associate Producer)
http://www.360magazine.co.uk/interview/mass-effect-3-has-many-different-endings/

“There are many different endings. We wouldn’t do it any other way. How
could you go through all three campaigns playing as your Shepard and
then be forced into a bespoke ending that everyone gets? But I can’t
say any more than that…”

Interview with Mike Gamble (Associate Producer)
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-0...me-people-angry

“Every decision you've made will impact how things go. The player's also the
architect of what happens."

“You'll get answers to everything. That was one of the key things. Regardless
of how we did everything, we had to say, yes, we're going to provide
some answers to these people.”

“Because a lot of these plot threads are concluding and because it's being
brought to a finale, since you were a part of architecting how they
got to how they were, you will definitely sense how they close was
because of the decisions you made and because of the decisions you
didn't make”

Interview with Casey Hudson (Director)
http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2011/04/28/casey-hudson-interview-mass-effect-3.aspx

“For people who are invested in these characters and the back-story of the
universe and everything, all of these things come to a resolution in
Mass Effect 3. And they are resolved in a way that's very different
based on what you would do in those situations.”

Interview with Casey Hudson (Director)
http://venturebeat.com/2012/03/02/casey-...fans-interview/

“Fans want to make sure that they see things resolved, they want to get
some closure, a great ending. I think they’re going to get that.”

“Mass Effect 3 is all about answering all the biggest questions in the
lore, learning about the mysteries and the Protheans and the Reapers,
being able to decide for yourself how all of these things come to an
end.”

Interviewer: “So are you guys the creators or the stewards of the franchise?”
Hudson: “Um… You know, at this point, I think we’re co-creators with
the fans. We use a lot of feedback.”

Interview with Casey Hudson (Director)
http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/a...PostPageIndex=2

Interviewer: [Regarding the numerous possible endings of Mass Effect 2] “Is that
same type of complexity built into the ending of Mass Effect 3?”
Hudson: “Yeah, and I’d say much more so, because we have the ability to
build the endings out in a way that we don’t have to worry about
eventually tying them back together somewhere. This story arc is
coming to an end with this game. That means the endings can be a lot
more different. At this point we’re taking into account so many
decisions that you’ve made as a player and reflecting a lot of that
stuff. It’s not even in any way like the traditional game endings,
where you can say how many endings there are or whether you got
ending A, B, or C.....The endings have a lot more sophistication and
variety in them.”

“We have a rule in our franchise that there is no canon. You as a player
decide what your story is.”
