So...a 100 dollar item will go up to 130 dollars due to the fair tax and that will only be a 23% tax because 30 is 23% of 130 rather than 30% of 100.

ACTUAL CONSERVATIVE wing of the Republican party. The problem witht he Republicans is that there are barely closeted Democrat agents within the Republican party, that cross over and vote for wasteful and suicidal Democrat spending.
