The best way they could come up with mission leaders was THE PLANETARY CHANCE MACHINE?

What other nutty tech has appeared in the long history of the Legion?

The Anti-Spying Indicator

Cosmic Boy says "No secret microphone is hidden in our clubhouse -- If it were, the INDICATOR-RAY's color would have turned from yellow to red!"

The Universe-Monitor from Thar

Wind World?
Tree World?
Ring World?

The writers worked over-time for that one!

Remember the Legion's EJECTOR seats! Were they REALLY necessary?

What happens if, say, Duo Damsel forgot her flight ring that day?

What did Brainy see with that "Probe-Viewer?"

And, that Guilt Detector looked like a vanity mirror.

They should have used them during tryouts. REJECTOR SEATS - cheaper than flight belts!

I can't remeber how many times I've needed a Medallion-Manufaturing Machine.

I think I saw one at the visitor's center in Times Square.

Didn't the force-field belt break down a LITTLE too often? Brainy had some quality-control problems, methinks.

Supergirl thought, "ULP! That rock fragment pierced my force-shield and shattered against my invulnerable body! ...passage through the time-barrier radically shortened the 'life' of the force-shield! -- It's now...USELESS!"

And then there was the Dominator's plant-based technology; come on, computers, weapons, spaceships, all grown from plants? It was weird.

I loved that plant-tech...

The one I thought was weird was the kiss-judging machine in ADVENTURE.

Hmmm. Wonder if it had 'adult' settings?

And who it would pair up if it did...

Ultra Boy and Superboy can't make it to a meeting, see, cause they've gotta throw a birthday party for Pete Ross a thousand years previously, see. So what they do, see, is they build robots that look exactly themselves, so that the robots can go into the future, see, and let everyone know they're not really Ultra Boy and Superboy. They're just robots, see, and they're there to attend the meeting for some reason.

Yeah, and what if the Ultra Boy and Superboy robots malfunction from the trip thru time, and start eating all the junk food at the Legion meeting, and hit on all the Girl Legionarries, and got drunk on motor oil and started breaking stuff???

Then there was the Supergirl robot that Brainiac 5 built "in his sleep" because he couldn't have the real thing. Wierd, wierd, wierd.

Imra's and Nura's washboards - yes, washboards! - from Takron-Galtos in Adventure 359 - The Outlawed Legionnaires.

(I was thumbing through the Archives this afternoon.)

You might also want to check out Lyle's pinstripe leggings from this same ish.

Who wouldn't?

I need a Portable Character Analysis Monitor. I'm too nice to people I shouldn't be.
