I have an aversion to most comic book adaptation movies.

But I watched the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie on cable about a year ago and loved it. It was a heck of a lot of fun. Satisfying not only for the humor, but also for all the great SF visuals, and for the 1970's nostalgic music.
I liked it enough to DVD record it and watch it again. Hope the second is as enjoyable.

Wondy liking something that's cool is like your parents learning to use text messages. It just instantly makes things uncool

I also enjoyed Sin City, 300, Hellboy and Hellboy II, The Golden Army.
And Man of Steel.

Feel free to add those to your uncool list.

The part I loved in Man of Steel was the visual effects in the first 30 minutes or so, of the city and technology on Krypton. Everything gray and shaped by magnetic energy, and kind of a vision of the future as was seen in many 1930's films. I also liked Jor-El played by Russell Crowe. Those were the parts that stood out for me.

I didn't mention it before, but the 300: Rise of an Empire sequel was also good.
