So it's Clinton/Kaine for the 2016 ticket. Onto the DNC which I'm guessing will be easily a more positive unifying convention than the GOP's.

Convention chaos already: DNC chair out, protesters storm Philly
  • Chaos reigned Sunday ahead of the Democratic National Convention, as the party’s head was forced to quit, thousands of protesters took to the streets and delegates threatened a walk-out over Hillary Clinton’s vice-presidential pick.

On the eve of the four-day convention to nominate the county’s first female presidential candidate, Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigned in disgrace over the hack of emails that showed DNC staffers favoring Clinton over her then rival, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Meanwhile, throngs of Sanders supporters marched and pounded on drums, chanting “Hell no, DNC — we won’t vote for Hillary” in the sweltering heat during the first in an expected series of protests in Philadelphia.

A leading Sanders supporter, Norman Solomon, also said a “vast majority” of the socialist’s delegates were considering turning their backs — or even walking out of the Wells Fargo Center — during Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine’s acceptance speech to run as Clinton’s second-in-command.

The ouster of Wasserman Schultz, a Florida congresswoman, came just hours after Democrats revealed that she had been replaced as their convention’s chairwoman by little-known Rep. Marcia Fudge (D-Ohio)....

Meanwhile, Democratic sources told CNN that the hacked emails had inflamed Sanders supporters and could destroy the party-unity deal between Sanders and Clinton, with one Democrat saying: “It’s gas meets flame.”

And desperate Clinton aides floated a conspiracy theory that Russian hackers had engineered the email scandal in a bid to help elect Trump....

Wasserman Schultz will be replaced as interim party chair by Donna Brazile, an ardent Hillary Clinton supporter...

A longtime Democrat strategist, Brazile ran Vice President Al Gore’s disastrous 2000 presidential campaign — which saw him start wearing “reassuring,” earth-toned clothing in a failed bid to win over voters before losing to George W. Bush in an election decided by the US Supreme Court.

Previously, she had to resign from Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis 1988 presidential campaign for publicly alleging that then-Vice President George H.W. Bush had repeatedly cheated on his wife.

Bernie Sanders Supporters in Philadelphia Chant: ‘Lock Her Up!: at the pro-Sanders rally, attendees were more than eager to list the reasons that Mrs. Clinton deserved to be incarcerated.

I love how the DNC can decisively say that the Russians hacked the DNC's e-mails ("to help the Trump campaign" no less!!), yet they can't determine whether Hillary Clinton's private server that compromised top secret classified information was hacked by the Russians.

I just watched a DNC spokesperson at a press conference asked every whichway how they know this. And all he could say is "experts" disclosed this.
The "experts" are lying DNC strategists, making up any talking point they think can save this fiasco.

The fix was in with Comey and Loretta Lynch in their private deals with the Clintons.
The fix is twice as in with the very heart of the DNC leveraging out Sanders and laying out the red carpet for Hillary getting the nomination.

Trump for the first time is ahead in the polls. I can't wait to see the polls a week from now.

No candidate has ever deserved to lose like Frau Hitlery deserves to lose.

Al Gore will skip the DNC: Gore is one of eight Tennessee superdelegates, but he has not pledged his support to presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz jeered at DNC breakfast: a number are seen holding signs that say “E-Mails” and “Division!”

Protesters march on Democratic National Convention:
  • By late afternoon, hundreds of demonstrators were face to face with police on bikes. Five were taken into custody and placed in plastic handcuffs after they jumped a barrier that was erected just moments earlier. In total, dozens reportedly were taken into custody. But city police later said there had been no arrests; rather, 55 had been cited for disorderly conduct.

Inside the convention hall, boos also broke out among Sanders supporters as they jeered at the very mention of Hillary Clinton’s name.

So far no boos during Franken's speech. Might be a case of a bumpy start and looks like it's winding down now. I do think Trump's Russian ties may pose a problem for him. Guess Putin likes a candidate that thinks NATO is stupid.

I almost vomited up my dinner listening to Corey Booker mouth empty platitudes in advocacy of Hillary Clinton.

Talking about the need to reform our justice system, he said "...we need a system that does not favor the rich and guilty over the poor and innocent."

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Hillary Clinton is the prime example of "the rich and guilty" being favored over the poor and innocent.
It was precisely that favoritism of the rich and guilty that has propelled Hillary Clinton to become the Democrat candidate!

FBI director James Comey has confirmed this. And so will many pundits of the mainstream media, if they have the tiniest shred of honesty.

I wouldn't call it "unity" or "a win" for Hillary or the DNC, when every time her name is mentioned by any of the speakers, there is widespread booing.

Sanders supporters have even booed Sanders himself, when he urged his supporters yesterday to support Hillary!

Democrats Struggle for Unity on First Day of Convention (As delicately euphemized by the New York Times)

 Quote:
PHILADELPHIA — Democratic Party leaders scrambled on Monday night to rescue their convention from political bedlam as supporters of Senator Bernie Sanders erupted in boos, jeers and protests against Hillary Clinton after an email leak showed that party officials had sought to undermine Mr. Sanders in their race for the nomination.

Mr. Sanders, whose speech was shifted to a more prominent time in hopes of soothing delegates, struggled to unify the convention. His full-throated endorsement of Mrs. Clinton drew scattered boos, and his valedictory tone left some supporters in tears rather than rallying around the Democratic nominee. Another speaker, Michelle Obama, was far more electrifying, but while she drew affection from the crowd, her remarks did little to heal the lingering primary wounds.

The venting among Sanders supporters reflected months of pent-up frustration after he lost the nomination to Mrs. Clinton, whom they see as too accommodating to big business and Republicans. Mr. Sanders tried to intervene by sending a text message asking delegates “to not engage in any kind of protest on the floor,” while Clinton and Sanders campaign officials worked on the convention floor to mollify delegates who might be disruptive.

The tension reverberated from the floor of the hall to the stage. By 9:30 p.m., the outbursts were so loud and persistent that the comedian Sarah Silverman scolded the Sanders supporters who were shouting over her remarks.

“Can I just say to the Bernie-or-bust people,” she said, adopting their own nickname, “you are being ridiculous.”

As delegates streamed out, a handful of Mr. Sanders’s most dedicated supporters held up his signs and chanted, “Hey, hey, D.N.C., we won’t vote for Hillary.”

Clinton campaign officials, in another bid to placate the party’s left wing, picked Senator Elizabeth Warren to deliver the keynote address on Monday night, hoping that her searing denunciations of Donald J. Trump, the Republican nominee, would unify the delegates in the hall. Mrs. Clinton had privately chosen Ms. Warren days ago, campaign officials said, but announced her on Monday morning to try to set a positive tone for the first day of the convention and start closing ranks against Mr. Trump.

Mr. Sanders, who took the stage here at about 10:50 p.m. to a thundering three-minute ovation and chants of “Bernie, Bernie,” acknowledged the disappointment of his supporters and said, “It is no secret that Hillary Clinton and I disagree on a number of issues.”

But he said the choice between his onetime rival and Mr. Trump was “not even close.” “Hillary Clinton will make an outstanding president, and I am proud to stand with her here tonight,” Mr. Sanders said as his supporters waved his blue campaign signs.

Ms. Warren opened her remarks with a warm nod to Mr. Sanders, saying his campaign had advanced liberal causes and helped show that the political and economic systems were “rigged” in favor of the powerful.

Bernie reminds us what Democrats fight for every day,” Ms. Warren said. ‘Thank you, Bernie.”

Yet even after Ms. Warren was well into her remarks, a handful of determined supporters of Mr. Sanders tried to interrupt her. “We trusted you!” they yelled, suggesting that she had betrayed them by supporting Mrs. Clinton.

These catcalls, as well as the images of delegates in Sanders T-shirts waving placards that read “Hill No,” were not the sort of messages that the Clinton campaign wanted. Mrs. Clinton, who had a hand in choosing the speakers, had hoped that the convention would be the picture of unity, in contrast to the Republican convention last week. Instead, she was reminded that many Americans, including some die-hard Democrats, do not like her or believe that she will bring significant change to the government.

The only speaker who brought the entire hall together in spellbinding fashion was Michelle Obama, who seemed to pour out feelings she had been keeping under wraps. She delivered an unusually pointed speech targeting Mr. Trump without mentioning him by name.

“The issues the president faces are not black and white, and cannot be boiled down to 140 characters,” she said, taking a crowd-pleasing shot at Mr. Trump’s penchant for Twitter messages.

She alluded to those who have questioned Mr. Obama’s “citizenship or faith” and scorned Mr. Trump’s slogan. “Don’t let anyone tell you that this country isn’t great,” she said. But she also turned emotional, her voice cracking, when she spoke of what Mrs. Clinton’s election would mean.

“My daughters, and all our sons and daughters, now take for granted that a woman can be president of the United States,” she said.

Throughout the day, more than 1,000 supporters of Mr. Sanders took to the scalding streets of Philadelphia to vent their frustration. Some targeted Mrs. Clinton with a taunting chant from last week’s Republican convention: “Lock her up!” Other protesters gathered outside the downtown Ritz-Carlton, where many major donors to Mrs. Clinton’s campaign were staying, and attacked her use of a “super PAC” and her reliance on big fund-raising events.

Even Mr. Sanders, who has vowed to do whatever it takes to stop Mr. Trump from winning, had little luck making the case to his followers that they should vote for Mrs. Clinton. In a rare display of rebellion at a lunchtime gathering of his delegates, he was drowned out by boos when he mentioned Mrs. Clinton, and seemed jarred by the response.

And that's reporting of the pro-Hillary New York Times!
EVEN THEY affirm that only Michelle Obama's speech was not interrupted by boos at the mere mention of Hillary Clinton.

Man, it just doesn't end.

A day after Debbie Wasserman (Bitch-Cunt)Schultz resigns for her part in the WikiLeaks DNC e-mail scandal (and incredibly was immediately re-hired to a high position in the Hillary campaign), they're revealing e-mails that show new DNC chair Donna Brazile ALSO participated in the e-mails bashing Bernie Sanders.

Gold for the Trump campaign!

It's presumptuous to definitively say it was Russian hacking that initiated the leaks.

The Democrat spin-meisters/slanderers like to front a lot of assumptions as fact to smear Trump.

Several dots fronted, that no one has factually established a connection between yet:

1. That the Russians did the hacking (THAT one may be true)
2. The reason the Russians leaked the documents was to help the Trump campaign. (Wild Democrat-partisan speculation, absolutely no proof.)
3. The Russians wanted to help Trump because he is weaker than Hillary regarding NATO, and she alleges Trump wants to end NATO (which is a flatout lie, Trump wants to pressure members to pay their agreed to share of NATO military costs, and not leave the U.S. with 72% of the tab, as they have for decades. So Trump is not weaker on NATO.)

And most offensive and slanderous of all, speculated one DNC talking head:
4. That the Trump campaign was somehow in collusion with the Russians.

NONE of these have a shred of evidence to support them, only similarity to Russian techniques on (1) can be plausibly speculated based on anything.

EXACTLY what they accuse Republicans/conservatives of doing, is EXACTLY what liberals/Democrats do themselves, to those who oppose their beliefs.

Trump does have some Russian connections and Putin has to like a candidate that declares that NATO is stupid.

I see....So the Red Menace is back, aye?

Yeah, so NOW the Democrats think Russia is a threat. ;\)

But, seriously, I'm sure this "conspiracy theory" will get a lot of traction with the far left, but ultimately it'll be just a credible as "Reagan and the Ayatollah caused the hostage crisis" and "Bush caused 9/11."

The bottom line here is that the DNC got caught acting unethically (and possibly illegally) and now they're trying to play the distraction game
