It's amazing to me that this guy who the people who have known him for decades in the publishing field regard as a liar who consistently bends or makes up the "facts", is respected by the liberal media as someone who captures the "essential essence" of the Trump White House.
If it's a lie, how can it truly represent?

The word "erratic" is thrown around a lot by critics as a quality that defines Trump. But his stated goals campaigning, as compared to what he has actually done over the last year, looks pretty consistent to me, the opposite of erratic. He may have changed tactics to find what works more effectively, such as firing people who weren't effective or team players such as Steve Bannon and Reince Prebius (and coincidentally, the rampant leaks stopped when these two were forced to leave).

It seems to me a liberal, globalist press that overwhelmingly voted for Hillary (PBS "conservative" pundit David Brooks included) is using this book as a weapon to smear Trump, even though its credibility is destroyed from the outset. It's just yet another way to try and smack down the guy they didn't vote for.

Pat Buchanan yesterday, interviewed by Laura Ingraham basically says that the media who embraced this Wolff gossip book predictably hype it. But the people who voted for Trump and his populist agenda will ignore it and move on.

He also compares the type of assaults on Trump (crazy, will start a war, dementia, mentally unbalanced, psychologically unfit) are all tactics they used previously on Ronald Reagan. Despite Reagan's proven track record. Interestingly, Buchanan says that only years after was Reagan's presidency recognized for its long-term achievement and benefit to the United States.
And that Trump, for all the media attacks, has already achieved quite a bit as well.

He also talks about the globalist/corporate control of both parties since the 1970's that has hurt us as a nation (moving factories and jobs to third-world nations, global free trade that kills jobs in the U.S., massive legal and illegal immigration that further threatens jobs of U.S. workers), and the rejection of that by voters of both parties in choosing Bernie Sanders, Ted Cruz and Donald Trump over the likes of establishment candidates like Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton.

As Ralph Nader and others said in a 3rd-party candidate debate in 2008 on C-Span, the real debate among U.S. voters should not be about conservative vs. liberal, but about globalist vs. nationalist.

Trump while attacking the book also went after Bannon for what he said in the book. If it's all lies that wouldn't have happened.

No. The fact that the liberal media will give it so much repetition is why he responded. He sued to prevent its release on the grounds that it is maliciously untrue. If it's 90% salaciously false and 10% true, or 80/20, or 70/30, can it honestly be held up by the media as "true", or even "mostly true"?

The TRUTH is, they are clinging to a salacious book from a historically dishonest author, because it potentially damages a president they don't like. Because they, like the author, are dishonest in their reporting on it.

Since this Fire and Fury book was published and eagerly promoted by the liberal media despite its clear false narrative, it was the anti-Trump attack vehicle of choice for a few weeks.

Replaced by other false narratives and vindictive books, including James Comey (right after he was fired), Bob Woodward (even his accounts were discredited as false and "pure fiction" by multiple White House officials), and waiting in the wings, a coming book from the recently fired and discredited Andrew McCabe.

Books I won't be buying.
