I watched it tonight.

I thought it was good but could’ve been edited down.

The acting was all good to excellent. Peschi was brilliant in every scene. Even though he didn’t seem like Hoffa at all to me, I thought Pacino did the best acting he’s done in about 30 years. DeNiro brought some actual poignancy to the scenes of his character in old age, which I didn’t expect. Ray Romano as a mob lawyer was surprisingly great.

Other than needing some editing, the biggest flaws were the oft criticized grocery store beatdown scene and the fact that Franks’s daughters seemed to stay the same age as kids for about ten years, then switch to different actresses for their late teens, and then stay the same age for more than 20 years.

Overall definitely worth a watch if you’re a fan of Scorsese or mob flicks in general.
