Of COURSE you thought there was good dating advice. It was a chick flick. You're a chick. End of story.

Alright penissa, there were some good parts of the movie. I thought Will Smith and the fat white guy were funny together. Other than that the movie was horrible.

Now for some of the horrible parts.
Will Smith fucking jumped on a fucking moving car and did not get fucking hurt.
The only conflict in the movie was because the main characters were lying to each other and couldn't sort out a simple misunderstanding.
Will Smith fucking kicked that chick in the face and knocked her into a polluted river, then reminded her of the most embarrassing part of her family history.
The chick the fat guy was in love with was not attractive. If she was attractive like the movie wanted us to believe, she would have absolutely nothing to do with him.
The fat guy quit his job over a chick he could never get in real life.
The whole movie says its good to lie about your job to someone your in love with.
Its a goddamned chick flick.
There were no boobies in it.

One of my all-time favorite guilty pleasures. The Monster Geneology cracks me up, as does Vincent "GOD" Price's monologue at the end of the movie. Great stuff.

Dear, sweet Harley Kwink...I'm madly in love with you. Marry me! We can go to Canadia. Or Boston or something. It'll be grand...You know the cookies are a given. They are ALWAYS a given. You could dump me tomorrow and you'd still get the cookies. Boston..shit, wherever dyke weddings were legalized. And where better to rub their little piggie noses in how bad they suck than right on their doorstep? What are they gonna do? Be jealous of you? Stare furiously at your tah-tahs? I too am watching this and it is indeed fucking awesome. Also, Slave Labor Graphics, in association with creaturecomics.com and Disney, will be publishing a brand new Gargoyles comic, written by series creator Greg Weisman! Awesome!

I'm honestly amazed that there aren't more fans of this show on these boards - this show had it all: myth and legend - from Shakespeare to Camelot and everything in between; good vs. evil; great battles; romance; betrayal; that whole beauty and the beast element; and fantastic subplots that were never forgotten, but allowed to develop into secondary stories - this was one of the best shows out there - and I'm not qualifying it as best animated show - I mean best show. It was brilliant.

Saw the first disk over the weekend - I loved "The Mirror" with Demona stealing Titania's mirror and Puck wrecking havoc on the whole City. And it was kinda sweet to see the Twin Towers in the skyline again...

Interesting that SLG is the one putting out the comic - I always think of them as putting out "darker" stuff - though I can definitely see Gargoyles taking a very gothic turn...

Well, SLG has apparently gotten the license for several Disney comics, including Tron, Wonderland, and the Haunted Mansion.

And did you know that there were SIX planned spinoffs? Pendragon (focusing on King Arthur), The Dark Ages (set in the time when Hudson was leader), Timedancer (where Brooklyn gets sent through time by the Phoenix Gate), Bad Guys (focusing on some reformed villains, like Fang and Dingo), The New Olympians, and Gargoyles 2198 (set in the future, those aliens that Nokar was sent to fight finally invade).

It seemed interesting, like the Gummi Bears on steroids. strong guy, leader guy. damsel, smart guy, goofy guy..all gargoyles and a cop of course, but standard formula. I think I saw it more than a few times, but very scattered. all the disney TV toons from that era were pretty darn good actually.

The Tintin two live-action movies from the 60's (two seperate DVD's).

Fantastic Four Two-Disc Special Ed.

Yes, you guess it right, I got a DVD-player now!

"Batman is only meaningful as an answer to a world which in its basics is chaotic and in the hands of the wrong people, where no justice can be found. I think it's very suitable to our perception of the world's condition today... Batman embodies the will to resist evil" -Frank Miller

It's funny you say that, because Gummi Bears was actually one of the inspirations for the show.

mmmmm....gummi bears....

Um, yeah, I never watched the gummi bears - actually, until I read your post I didn't even know that there had been a cartoon about them - so I can't comment on them. Gargoyles may have started off with the "formula" in its first season, but the show completely hit its stride and broke away from the standard cartoon formula in it's second season. I really recommend seeing the whole thing - especially if you're a fan of the '90's Disney animation.
