Yes, repeating the same storylines over and over again in a good thing.

This doesn't seem like a pure repetition of the story line. However, the season has already become very predictable. Sloane will do anything for his daughter, so he made a deal. But why did they need Sloane? Easy. Rimbaldi. So, Sloane will appear to be working for the bad guys. However, in reality, he will be Jack's inside man, and the key to turning this whole thing around. This time, however, he'll probably die by the end of the season, because if Sydney is leaving the show, there is no point in keeping Sloane around. Rachel will continue to learn how to be a field agent, but it's not like when Sydney learned how to do it. Sydney wanted to be in the field. Rachel never had the stomach for it. She has been forced into it because it is the only way she can protect herself. There is good chemistry betweeen Syd and the new agents, and Dixon fills out the team in his usual suave manner.

My predictions for the end of the season:

Sloane dies, Nadia returns, Syd walks off into the sunset with the baby and Will, the new agents take over under Jack, Dixon sticks around. The new team for next year, if they continue, will be Nadia, Rachel, Dixon, and the new guy who's name still escapes me. Oh, and Jack. It might not be a bad show if they can figure out some new conspiracy to carry it for another few years. Something other than this one, which looks to be tied to another Rimbaldi cult.

I can't wait to find out who the mystery man is. Do you think they're going to make us suffer, show the body, hear the voice, but not see the face until the very end of the episode?

You know how sadistic JJ is.

They've done that before, but then JJ will be evil about it and pull the show you the face at the last minute then throw the logo up and make you wait until the next week to find out more.

Like I said, he's a sadist. lol

Episode 5.05: Out of the Box

Sydney and Tom discover that Renée has stolen the cryogenic-type container, and they find themselves under siege by mercenaries who want the container's contents. Meanwhile, Sloane is forced to take matters into his own possibly devious hands to get himself reinstated into APO and to continue his quest to find a cure for daughter Nadia. Patrick Bauchau ("Revelations," "The Pretender") guest stars.

Best line tonight:

Tom casually walks in after blowing up the truck, and just as casually says "I think I just pissed them off."

Loved protective Jack. He da man!

They are still copying what has happened before. This show is on its last legs. I really hope they kill it before it get season three bad again.

But that's what the show is all about. Them covertly getting into places, getting information any way possible, etc.

It's the formula of the show. I'd rather have this than Syd walking around saying "you killed my finance'" or "you killed my baby's father". THAT was stupid.

Season 3 was the best season of the show. I couldn't wait for each episode. There was the extra suspense of finding out what happened to Syd.

This season is far better than last season, which was pure crap. I can't believe I wasted my time watching it the whole thing when the first two and last 4 episodes would have sufficed.

I disagree. I thought season 2 was the best. They showed real nerve in uprooting things suddenly by taking down SD-6 and shuffling the entire premise. And the mom/dad/Sydney interaction was great.
Year 3 bored the hell out of me with putting the show two years in the future and adding the wife and forced storylines. It wasn't until Sydney was finally told by John Locke what was going on that it got interesting, and by then it was way too late.

Season two was the best. End of discussion. The Superbowl Episode was one of the greatest hours on TV. The last couple episodes were perfect as well.

End of discussion for you. And for me, cause it's my opinion. You can agree if you'd like. But most of season 4 was crap, and although that too is my opinion, it's not a difficult one to understand.

Episode 5.06: Solo

Sydney must guide a nervous and pensive Rachel on her first solo mission. Meanwhile, Sloane must decide whether or not to betray the trust he's recently earned with APO by honoring his agreement with Gordon Dean.

Minor Spoilers - if that:

It was a good ep. Sloane is in a very uncomfortable situation. Gordon Dean is a very dead man, and he doesn't even know it yet. Lots of Vaughn talk in this ep, as Syd finds herself in his shoes, guiding Rachel because she can't do the mission herself. She's an emotional reck. We finally got to see Nadia in the hospital. Hope she awakens soon.

I liked this episode.
Bringing back the twelve is a good thing.
The scene at the end between Sidney and Jack was great.

Why the holy fucking fuck are they moving this show to wednesdays at ten? Thats too late.

That was the best moment. I loved how relaxed Jack was with her in his office, but the scene at her place was the best. Best moment was Syd sitting there refusing to look at him as she doubted he could put the crib together. Then later him telling her to hand him the screw driver, while she just kept her mouth shut and walked away. LOL

The previews for the next episode had me screaming and cheering. Sark's back! WOO!

Oh and in case anyone missed it, Alias has been moved to Wed nights, after Lost. That's suck because I don't watch Lost, or anything else (for that matter) at 7 on Wed nights. Course the upside is that I'll finally be able to tune into Smallville this season and see what's been going on. Not like I'll have a clue.

I really don't like it when lost and alias are on the same night. I like to have a break between them.

And I'm excited about sark being back.

I like the move. Thursday nights weren't good for me, so I had to tape Alias and watch it later.

But, now that it's moving to Wednesday night, and Sark is dating Rachel, I am very happy.

I'd rather have it like it was last year, Lost at 8, Alias at 9.

Have you seen the shows they have at 8? Fucking brian austin green is a main character in one? Why the hell hasn't that been cancelled yet?

Spoilerfix.com has said that Sark will be back for at least five episodes. I'm hoping more. I predict that he will be in charge of the Alliance as well.

NEW YORK — Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck had a baby girl Thursday.

"Mother, father and baby are doing great," their publicists, Ken Sunshine and Nicole King, told The Associated Press.

They said the baby was born at 6:26 p.m. EST Thursday but would not give any other details, including where the infant was born.

It is the first child for Garner and Affleck, both 33, who were married in June.

The confirmation came after several media outlets reported the baby's birth — hours before the time of birth supplied by Sunshine and King.

Us Weekly reported the baby was born sometime before 2 p.m. EST, and E! News said the couple had named her Violet.

Affleck co-starred with Garner in 2003's "Daredevil," her first big movie role, but they didn't begin dating until last year.

Garner was previously married to actor Scott Foley. They were divorced in March 2004 after 3 1/2 years of marriage. Affleck and Jennifer Lopez called off their September 2003 wedding and broke off their engagement in January 2004.

Affleck will star as George Reeves, television's Superman, in the upcoming movie "Truth, Justice, and the American Way."

Garner's ABC series, "Alias," is ending its five-year run in May. Her pregnancy was written into "Alias" for her character, a globe-trotting spy.

I freaked when they reveled the mystery 'man' behind the glass. How I did not see that is what makes this show so amazing.

I nearly teared up though when Syd walked outside and Jack was looking at the crib. I knew they were in 2 different places as they were running through the places. But when they showed Syd on that freighter... man that was rough.

That episode was so wrong.

Leaving us hanging is even worse.

Is this when the hiatus starts or is there going to be a new episode next week? I couldn't figure it out from the previews. Course I was still freaking out about that revelation and ending that I wasn't fully coherant when they showed the preview.

Jack is going to go ballistic when I finds out Irina was behind that whole thing. That's all the reason he needs to go back to hating her.

Ah ok. Got a bit confused by the way they did the previews and said it's the begning of the end.

I think it's going to be back on in March.

heh same here. I am really looking forward to the return and have done my best to remain spoiler free for the rest of the season. I know a couple people are coming back but that was a given.

I have seen a couple pictures from the set, one of Jack and Sydney in what looks like a plane, and Jack's holding the baby, grinning ear to ear. I knew he was a softy deep down.

The funny thing about that picture though is if you look closely you can see the photographer's reflection in it. lol

I have also seen a picture of Jen's baby but I won't post the link. It was taken by the stalkerazzi (love that word) when Jen and Ben were leaving the doctor's office. They (the couple) were clearly trying to keep the baby covered up to be ssafe from pictures, but one was nabbed when Ben was putting her in the car. Also both of them are clearly annoyed in one of the pictures, you'd think those idiots (stalkerazzi) would get the hint and respect their privacy.

Episode 5.10: S.O.S. and Episode 5.11: Maternal Instinct

Jack calls on former Agent Weiss and the APO team to search for Sydney after receiving a distress call from her. But Jack believes that a larger conspiracy may be in play, thwarting their attempts to rescue her. Meanwhile, Tom's suspicious actions may suggest he has a hidden agenda, Irina Derevko is a surprise partner to Jack and a very pregnant Sydney on a mission to retrieve "The Horizon" - but her allegiances still remain in question -- and Sloane is forced to scramble when Devlin suspects a mole is working inside APO.

kind of odd that Lost and Alias have the same producer and this upcoming is called "S.O.S." which was the title of last week's Lost.

You've been warned....

Loved the tender Jack moments. Those were the best, but him getting uber protective of Syd was probably even better. I just can't figure out what Irina's game is and what about Vaughn? I thought he was dead. Kind of hard to survive those kind of injuries. It seems Jack made sure he went into hiding though. I stil say the whole "You killed my baby's father" crap was over the top for that show, especially Syd.

Jack and his girls... that was too great.
