Dolphin. It's a GC and Wii emulator (the wii support is better than its gamecube support, but you need a real wii mote because using the mouse sucks).
I don't know if it will work on your laptop, dad. Your laptop is shit. And its death will be rejoiced.
But I've seen youtube videos of laptops playing games on it with playable enough speeds. It doesn't require a beefy graphics card, and a DX9 one will do.
