btw, only one on that list you posted that I havent played is Evil within. I almost picked that up today but not sure its any good as havent heard much about it, which is always a worry.

I'm ambivalent. It's essentially Silent Hill 4 meets Call of Cthulu. The HUD and control scheme is fashioned similar to Dead Space, which is kind of annoying but not too terrible a burden.
I think what's annoyed me the most thus far is the very underdeveloped hiding system. You can fight and kill enemies, but sometimes it's not worth the effort to go after some of the more monstrous ones, so you have to hid in a closet or under a bed until you're out of their proximity. Normally this would be okay with me, but the directionality of the sound is all over the place, and I can't figure out whether they're right next to me or across the room.
