Second, the Republican side is a 3-way race, while the Democrat primary is a 2-way race.
Third, Carter had a 30-point lead over Reagan in 1980, and Reagan still won.
And Dukakis had a 17-point lead in 1988, and G H W Bush still won.

AGAIN, the issue you keep evading is that the Democrat candidates are not more scandal free than the Republican candidates. Hillary is more laden with scandal than any candidate I've ever seen. From bribes by foreign governments (Clinton Foundation) to treasonous violation of national security (sending top secret State Dept e-mails on her private server, ripe for Russian, Chinese and Iranian hacking) to deceiving the public and obstructing investigation of what really happened (Benghazi), and being soft on Islamic terrorism (Benghazi), and more treason (the Russian re-set, selling arms to questionable groups in Syria, making clear she'd do the same as Obama), in Iraq and Syria, and absolute silence regarding Russia invasion of Ukraine, again making clear she would do nothing there in the oval office as well.
That she is guilty of all the above is beyond question.
The only question is whether she will be prosecuted for these crimes. Or whether the Democrats will corruptly give Hitlery a free pass, just because she has a (D) next to her name.
I foresee that even if the Justice Dept and FBI director push for Hillary's prosecution, Obama will ultimately pardon her before he leaves office. Because the Democrats truly have a contempt for the rule of law, and have no reservation about circumnavigating it to advance their own (cultural Marxist/radical) agenda.
