To review from past discussions: The U.S. admits about 1.1 million LEGAL immigrants a year. More legal immigrants admitted than pretty much the other nations of the world combined. The U.S. generously admits a huge amount of LEGAL immigrants, and based on that, there is no reason we should permit ILLEGAL immigrants to enter our country, and once discovered, illegals should not be permitted to stay here.

Illegals do not enter legally because they often have criminal issues that would prevent them from getting a Visa through legal channels. Logically, they commit more crime. Once here, they don't pay taxes, use welfare benefits at a disproportionate rate, and are often involved in identity theft to obtain false paperwork to function in (and abuse) our system.

And, common sense, their choice and comfort with illegal status means illegals are more inclined toward crime and abuse of public assistance.
