I was quite fond of NEXUS also. First Comics really was top of the line when they were headed by NEXUS, Grell's JON SABLE FREELANCE, Chaykin's AMERICAN FLAGG, Ostrander/Truman's GRIMJACK, and Gillis/Saenz's SHATTER. When the original creative teams left these series, the books never recovered, and the line folded.
But in the early/mid 80's First had an incredible ratio of quality material.
