Doctors I can see being up there. Being responsible for potential life or death if you're wrong. And increasingly, liability. Plus essentially running your own business. As an employee, your wages remain steady, but a business owner as a doctor's office is, those peaks and valleys can be really stressful.

When I was 39, I had a flu virus and sinus infection and went in to get an antibiotic (2002), and found out my doctor (also 39) had a heart attack and this was his first day back at work.

A nurse also told me that people in the medical field tend to be more complacent about things like heart conditions. They recognize the symptoms and aren't as alarmed by them as most people would be. Because they understand it and think they can control it, they don't seek out treatment as quickly as others would with the same symptoms.
