Beyond some off-the-cuff sarcastic remarks about how he
should ban them because they are so biased, Trump has not done so.
And as I pointed out above and in the other
Charlottesville topic, Obama was:
- far less available to the press,
- Obama had reporters arrested for exposing his administration,
- Obama tried to shut out Fox News entirely from White House press conferences as "not a real news channel".
- Obama also (very similar to Trump with CNN) took shots at Fox News all through his 8 years.
It wasn't enough that Obama had every other print and broadcast news agency on his side and acting as his PR wing, Obama had to try and shut down the one channel that dissented and didn't selectively omit negative coverage of him.
