I rarely buy new comics these days, but one recent release I sought out, CARSON OF VENUS: PIRATES OF VENUS, a two-issue re-release of the 1972-1973 stories Kaluta did for KORAK 46-49 (issue 1), and 50-53 (issue 2). The adaptation Wein and Kaluta did of Edgar Rice Burroughs' Pirates of Venus novel.

The new covers alone are beautiful, more like hardcover book covers than comics covers, which I'm sure was the intent of their design.

There are four more stories not reprinted (from KORAK 54-56, and TARZAN 230), as they began an incomplete storyline. But I'd still like to see a third issue to collect these stories and some other Burroughs-related Kaluta pages and covers.

I posted links to read all the Kaluta "Carson of Venus" stories online, every Kaluta story, earlier in the topic.
