surely, its a unique perspective, depending upon the individual, but, just as surely, everyone on our planet has a "key" to happiness. whether or not its attainable is a different question.

however...

1) what is your key?
2) what do you think is the most important key to happiness, on a global scale?

key to happiness... i dunno. is there a generalized standard for everyone? doubtful.

if so... id probably have to say happiness and confidence in yourself. once you have that, you're able to love and be loved. you're able to be happy in what you do. enjoy your work and/or your hobbies. embrace all your bad qualities, but not dwell on them.

mathematically, you should proabbly also concentrate 80% on the here and now, 12% on the future, and 8% on the past. (and, this is probably where i get hurt the most, cuz im constantly regretting things i've done or could have done)

"lose one friend, lose them all, lose yourself."

ok, this was eric's answer, on "boy meets world"

and, alright, so, its rather simplistic, and "reaching" for that "deep feel".... but... i dunno... could be true.

friends are definitly a constant in my life. i wouldnt be who i was without them. i wouldnt be as happy as i am without them. and, even when im not around them, even when im never gonna see them again, i DO feel happy just knowing that i did have them, and i get to reflect on those times that i got to be with them.

seems like a pretty good source o' happiness to me.

Being comfortable with yourself.

And love. All kinds of love... friendship love, family love, I-wanna-make-babies-with-you love, and I-wanna-make-babies-with-you-and-an-egg-donor love.

Are you talking about friends online, or friends you see in the flesh? Or both?

Yeah, I can definitely relate to you on that regret/dwelling on the past thing, Rob.

My "key" to happiness is porn, by the way. Lots and lots of free internet porn.

::serious moment that if anybody ever mentions again they will be shot on site ::

My key to happyness? Honestly, it's doing good for others. It's why I work in the medical field. So when I go home at night I know that I've made a difference in other peoples lives. Long ago I realized I have only one real goal in my life.

"Before I die. I want to leave this world just a little bit of a better place then I found it"

And I truely believe I do that everyday. And no matter how little, or how much, I had a positive impact.

:: Ends serious moment::

Now...umm...you all can fuck off...bitches.

My key to happyness is a stacked redhead wearing edible undies and holding some Mike's Hard Lemonade. [wink]

Jack, that was a cool post. My twin brother (he's the "good" one [wink] ) works at a State home caring for the mentally ill, and the difference he makes in these people's lives is really admirable and heart-warming. The ultimate goal is for my brother and his co-workers to try to help these people to graduate to group homes where they can actually work real jobs and live more satisfying and independent lives (well, within reason, of course), but most of these patients will never leave that facility. A completely supervised life in a state run home is the best most of these people can ever hope for, and it's good, decent people like my brother who make sure that these individuals get the most out of it. It's a sad, depressing job (I could never fucking handle it myself) but someone has to do it--- and these poor souls are damn lucky to have someone like my bro watching out for 'em.

The question?

Why....it could be.

"Who is that guy over here?" As long as while asking that question the person you are refering to is actually named "Jesus"

Or it might be..."Who is JacktheKnife really?" Why Jesus of course. Cause we all know I am the next best thing to God and that can only mean I am Jesus.

Or maybe... "Who was that guy...in "Family Guy" that hit the golf ball and then missed the hole...but made the ball turn and go in?"

The answer to that question would be Jesus.

See. Jesus is the answer. You just need to know the right questions.

And I presume also the freedom to unzip your pants and access everything freely?

The key to happiness?

A Neverending bottle of booze, a dimebag that never runs out, and a pussy that's always tight.

However, if those are unattainable, that bottle will at least help you forget how shitty your life is for a while.

Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It's easy.
There's nothing you can make that can't be made.
No one you can save that can't be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be in time
It's easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
There's nothing you can know that isn't known.
Nothing you can see that isn't shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be.
It's easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
All you need is love (all together now)
All you need is love (everybody)
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.

One person can make a difference. I always keep that in mind. I always try to stay positive and do good for others whenever I can.
