The only good decision they made regarding the new Batman movie was firing Joel Schumacher. The characterization could be compromised since they're using a Japanese guy for Ra's Al Ghul. Not to discredit anyone's acting skills, but I hope that doesn't change anything about Ra's being an international terrorist. If they turn him into a ninja or something, that would be completly against his MO. I don't even know why they're using the Scarecrow anyways. He's never had anything to do with Ra's before, and would be better as a stand-alone character. It seems that they're following the same formula as Joel did which effectively destroyed the Batman saga. We saw what happend to Bane, Ivy and Mr. Freeze when they were crammed into the same film, you'd think they might have learned. However, because Joel Schumacher is not working on it, there is a chance that the movie might reach it's potential. Although I'm not going to expect much from this film, there's no way I'm going to miss it. I mean, it can't get any worse, right?

I rarely judge movies before they're out, but I have a feeling this is going to be mediocre. I do hope I'm wrong though.

I personally have not been able to bring myself to care about any of the proposed Batman movies of the past few years.

I'm not anticipating anything. I bet this movie sucks, just like all the others. Sure there's a new director, but the first two were by Tim Burton, right? They still failed to get the characters right.
I thought they said they were going to keep this movie separate from the first four, but then they go and call it Batman Begins? What happened to Intimidation Game (although that was kinda weak too)?
Anyways, I'm just pissed 'cause I heard they're not going to use Joker ever again. Crispin Glover would be a cool Joker. Plus, like you mentioned, Scarecrow. Scarecrow is such a cool character, how could they tie him up with Ras'? I'd rather watch a Scarecrow movie than a Ghul anyhow. Terrorism isn't as interesting to watch in a movie. Too James-Bond-ish. And they should use Firefly. That guy's cool.
Does anybody know? Is Robin going to be in this movie?

Introducing Robin was a mistake I'm glad they're rectifying.
I have no problem with a Japanese Ra's. Japanese actors on the whole are very good, but don't have much exposure outside of Japan.
If the camp elements are removed from a Batman movie, I'd see it. The name, The Frightening, suggests that it won't be camp. The example of the grim X-men movies should provide a good lead.
I still would have liked to see Superman v Batman. Never mind.

You can get Peter Porker VHSs at many adult film chainstores, but I don't think they're in anyway affiliated with the Marvel Comics' funny animal take on Spider-Man.

Dont you guys realize that Christopher Nolan is an asskicker? C'mon... Memento. This might be the best CBM ever and the only Batman movie worth a fuck. Fuck Tim Burton's Batman. Everyone knows or should know that Jack Nicholson carried that movie. Tim Burton doesnt know shit about Batman or comic books for that matter.
I'm not even gonna go into Schumacher's atrocities since he's not worth a wide-holed noxious assfume.
