I haven't had cable in about two years now. I'm getting it thursday.
My question is what have I missed? I'm going to start watching the Chappelle Show. I haven't seen an entire episode yet. Anything else I should watch?

The question is, what kind of cable? Basic or premium? How many channels will you have?
Our system has about 100 regular channels, 50 movie channels (most of which we don't subscribe to), and a bunch of "music" channels. Seriously, they play music. We have a CD player, we have a radio, but my parents put on the TV when they want some music.

I used to think my life was so empty
I used to think life was passin' me by
Well, I was just about ready
To curl up and die

But then one day I got a visit
From the cable company
Well, they hooked me up and plugged me right in
And now I got cable TV

And now I get to watch the stock report in Korean
Midget wrestling on channel three
It costs me fifty bucks a month just to see 'em
Yeah, but that's all right with me

I got cable TV (Cable TV)
Cable TV (Cable TV)
Oh, eighty-three channels of ecstasy
I love my cable TV, yeah
I love my cable TV

I got the Siamese Faith Healer's Network
The news and weather from Peru
I got celebrity hockey
The Racketball Channel too

Bugs Bunny direct from Atlanta
Mr. Wizard is on at five
I got a satellite dish on the trunk of my car
So I can watch MTV while I drive

I'm talkin' 'bout real quality programs
The kind you just can't get for free
Now I never wanna leave my apartment
'Cause there's just so much for me to see

On my cable TV (Cable TV)
Cable TV(Cable TV)
Well, if you need to find me
You know where I'll be
Watchin' my cable TV, yeah
Watchin' my cable TV

'Cause I love my cable TV, yeah
I love my cable TV

My friends are gettin' kinda worried
They think I'm turning into some kinda freak
Oh, but they're just jealous 'cause I've seen Porky's
Twenty-seven times this week

On my cable TV (Cable TV)
Cable TV (Cable TV)
Yeah, the greatest thing that's ever happened to me
I love my cable TV, yeah
I love my cable TV

Well, I got to have cable TV, yeah
I need my cable TV

Well, I love, I love my cable TV (TV)
Got to have cable TV (TV)
Well, I got to have my cable TV, yeah (TV)
Can't live without my cable TV

Well, I said, got to have some cable TV (TV)
I've got to have my cable TV
I said cable TV, yeah (TV)
Got to have cable TV

I'm getting all the basic stations. No movie stations except stars for free for a couple months. I'll probably have it on Comedy Central nonstop.

I bought a bourgeois house in the Hollywood hills
With a truckload of hundred thousand dollar bills
Man came by to hook up my cable TV
We settled in for the night my baby and me
We switched 'round and 'round 'til half-past dawn
There was fifty-seven channels and nothin' on

Well now home entertainment was my baby's wish
So I hopped into town for a satellite dish
I tied it to the top of my Japanese car
I came home and I pointed it out into the stars
A message came back from the great beyond
There's fifty-seven channels and nothin' on

Well we might'a made some friends with some billionaires
We might'a got all nice and friendly if we'd made it upstairs
All I got was a note that said "Bye-bye John
Our love is fifty-seven channels and nothin' on"

So I bought a .44 magnum it was solid steel cast
And in the blessed name of Elvis well I just let it blast
'Til my TV lay in pieces there at my feet
And they busted me for disturbing the almighty peace
Judge said "What you got in your defense son?"
"Fifty-seven channels and nothin' on"

I can see by your eyes friend you're just about gone
Fifty-seven channels and nothin' on...

And that's terrible.

Is the Playboy Channel in your cable package?

I'm fully addicted to Food Network. It started with Iron Chef (which, in my mind, out WWE's the WWE for sheer excitement and pageantry). Then I found myself watching Emeril. Then I discovered Rachael Ray, who is a sweet piece of lady. Now most of my regular viewing is Food Network.

Chappelle Show is one of the few respites I have from the Food Network.

MTV2 plays Beavis and Butthead and Sifl & Olly late at night. Very cool.

Megas XLR is one of my new favorite shows on Cartoon Network.

For some bizarre reason I used to get MTV2 as a broadcast channel. It was taken off the air after the superbowl.

Definitely thumbs up for all the LAW AND ORDERs. And RENO 911. Fall down funny. And THE DAILY SHOW. RENO is funny for your guts. DAILY is funny for your brain. And LAW AND ORDER is just excellent all the way around. I'll miss ya, Lenny...

Ignignot: Hello, Carl, I am Ignignot, and this is Ur.
Ur: I am Ur!
Ignignot: We are Mooninites from the inner core of the Moon.
Ur: You said it right!
Ignignot: Our race is hundreds of years beyond yours.
Ur: Man, you hear what he's sayin'?
Ignignot: Some would say that the Earth is *our* moon.
Ur: *We're* the Moon!
Ignignot: But that would belittle the name of our Moon, which is the Moon.
Ur: Point is, we're at the center, not you!
Carl: No, the real point is I don't give a damn. (slams door)
Ignignot: Is your ego satisfied?
Ur: Damn no!

Shake: Look it's just until this ear infction clears up. Then I'll be able to go back to work again.
Meatwad: Yeah, well, I don't see no ears.
Shake: Well you are about not to have a mouth, and I mean it! I'll rip it off!

Ur: Man, that pool is bitchin'!
Ignignot: Where shall I place this wet, primitive Earth towel?

Ignignot: You and your third dimension.
Frylock: What about it?
Ignignot: Oh nothing, it's cute. We have five.
Ur: Th-thousand.
Ignignot: Yes, five thousand.
Ur: Don't question it!
Frylock: Oh yeah? Well, I only see two.
Ignignot: Well that sounds like a personal problem.

Ignignot: Using a key to gouge expletives on another's vehicle is a sign of trust and friendship.

Ur: On the Moon, nerds get their pants pulled down and they are spanked with Moonrocks.

Ignignot: Let us leave this primitive rock because there's nothing but cavemen here.
Ur: Say goodbye, cavemen. Go beat rocks together, you sissies! Freakin' nerds!

My time is now taken up by Mario Sunshine, Gran Turismo 4 and Knights of the Old Republic.

I'm four episodes behind on Smallville, one behind on Alias. Lost is the only must watch show now.
