Last time Grimm said to create a commitee to gather all the needed information about the eliglible nominees.
I repost here my contribute from the lost thread, inviting everyone to point out any possible mistake.
I have written just the stories completed at this date. All the other that will be for the date of the award will be added. The collective or solo attribute refers to writers, not to the fact if the story is about a team or a single character.
Collective stories: Vanguard intl. #13 - 17, Christmas special, Vanguard Europe 0, Strikeforce special, Strikeforce 3 #0, Royal Society of Rogues; Love.
Solo stories: Heroes and Legends; Vanguard: The end;
Drake Marshall: the Beginning and the End; EPS: intermission; E. Cicciotto: an Odyssey; E. Cicciotto: soulsearch; (evil)MBL: the next step; Grimm tales 1; Left hand: Song of the Sinister Heart; Mxy Special; Shirley kicks ass; The Banshee and the Boar.
Posters/writers: Danny; Mxy; Eurostar; Chewy; Gooz; TTT; Grimm; the Doctor; Sammitch; Notwedge; Banshee; Bruteforce.
New poster/writers: Bruteforce.

Actually, the current vanguard story is not finished too. But missing ONE post, I guess for the Kamphy time will be.

Stories In Progress category? Does that mean those stories can be eligible next year too? Or for the next couple of years, if it takes that long to finish them? That's kinda unfair to the other stories.

Trouble is, if you finish your story just after the Kampys, you have to wait a whole 'nother year, in which time people will most likely forget about what you wrote.

Yes, and these awards are so....so...useful? Productive? Imaginary? You're right Phil. A year might damage your chances at getting a very important award. You should hurry. Quickly now! The Kampies won't hold out forever....

Look at the thing from this angle: if you finish your story in time for the Kampy, you compete with Heroes and Legends...

You know, if it's a foregone conclusion that H&L will dominate in some way, then, just don't include it. It's not really fair to others if it has already won...

Lord of the Rings WAS included in the Academy Awards, so, why not H&L?
On my part, I know I will vote for something else, if the relative poster hurry up in finishing his tale.

While the best charater, best new character, secondary character and best new secondary character nominees, though necessiting a lot of research, are easy to be produced, the "best single moment" is very hard.
There are thousands of post to research, and, then, maybe a lot of them to nominee. After all, what I find interesting and cool could mean nothing to the others.
I would ask, for this one at least, that anyone interested post here his suggestions. Mine are: Danny Hearn meets Danny Hearn in Heroes and Legends; Mxy makes the Nibiru fall over Naecken in Obsidian Illumination II; Grissom and Brianna moment at the end of issue 17.

These are some of my favorites: Last Chance (Obsidian Illum.) -It was quick. Uncalled for. Unexpected. And, it still feels like there is closure missing. Just like real life. And that's what makes Kristofer Shanz's death so poignant for me. It was real. Don't Call It a Comeback (World of Darkness) -From a white fluffy dragon, to an uber-agile vigilante, Drake Marshall came full circle into his own. Throwing the stigma of fantasy away...something that was desperately holding the character back...NotWedge managed to give birth to an excellent and already-respected character. And, as the new leader of Vanguard Europe, he's destined to become the next 'Daniel Boy', in my opinion. Foreman and Bell: Biting the Big Apple (H&L) -Yeah, I know. But, I really enjoyed writing that bit.... More Human Than Human (The Wedding) -Did we see it coming a mile away? Honestly, did we really know that this uber-powerful 5th Dimensional godling was, in reality, the most powerfully delusional metahuman in the planet's history? It feels like it. It feels like we should have known. All the signs are there. All the clues. Yet, we still walked headlong into the obvious, denying it the entire way. That, my friends, is craftsmanship the Mxy way. Subtle, precise, and so obvious it slaps us in the face with a small crowbar. The MBL take over NYC (The Next Step) -Strategic. Efficient. Precise. With a single masterstroke of brilliance, the MBL took the next step in becoming Vanguard's greatest obstacle. It's greatest threat. It's not Magneto spouting bravado, or Doom clenching his fists, cursing Richards. It's not The Master twisting his moustache with an evil glee, or Agent Smith droning on about insta-depth philosophical fluff. The MBL became the true enemy the moment they became as coordinated and resourceful as Vanguard itself. They are villians, in every realistic sense of the word. Time's Arrow (Fight Scenes...) -We just read it. It's still fresh on our minds. There's no way in hell that you can't take this grand tale into account. From Danny's seeming betrayal, to his final duel with Hal, our boy Danny has finally crafted a fitting end for his same-named character. And one that impressed as well as amazed. Pieces of the puzzle, so carefully manipulated into the proper portrait of Vanguard's reluctant leader.

Also, although it's not one, single moment, I think that The Antarctic War is more than worthy of a mention. It's the highpoint of the collective writing of the group over the last few years, imo.

Yes, but that goes for the best issue, not for the single moments, IMO. We need to be specific: Chance's death, the Nibiru falling, Adem materializing on the table, Grimm killing Hero...

I have update the eligible entries with the names of the issues of Vanguard Original:
Collective stories: Vanguard intl. #13 "The one where stuff happens"; #14 "Obsidian Illumination 2 - Smith's revenge"; #15 "World of darkness"; # 16 "Aisling Prison"; #17 "Fight Scenes Are Fun And Easy"; Vanguard Intl. Christmas special; Vanguard Europe 0; Strikeforce (2) special; Strikeforce 3 #0 "Picking up the pieces"; Royal Society of Rogues; Love.
Solo stories: Heroes and Legends; Vanguard: The end;
Best poster/writer/improved writer: Danny; Mxy; Eurostar; Chewy; Gooz; Grimm; TTT; Grimm; the Doctor; Sammitch; Notwedge; Banshee; Bruteforce.
Since there is only one New Poster, Bruteforce, I suggest to skip that category.
Lastly, for the Cool Moments category, are we done with the previous suggestions, or do you all wants to add something? The time for the Kamphausen is coming fast...

Just my opinion...
What if a writer does an awesome fight scene that misses consideration for a Kampy because it isn't as attention-getting as a hilarious gag in another story entirely? Or what if a powerful moment of characterization or convincing romantic moment is denied the attention it deserves because it isn't tailored to short attention spans like an impressive entrance for a new character? That was my reasoning behind having different categories like Best Laugh or Best Fight Scene and so on, instead of one award that's supposed to allow for equal consideration of the many different kinds of great moments we write. I really think that makes us take a longer look back and appreciate all the things that happened, not just one or two.
I'm not being self-seeking here; I haven't finished jack shit this year, and only a small handful of things I've done are even partly deserving of an award. I just want to see more people's work get a shot at some recognition.

I propose a new category: Best Use of Teamwork.
These will be the best scenes involving the use of all or many characters, complementing each other's abilities/powers/skills without grandstanding the poster's own character or making that character look better than the others.
Teamwork is something I'd really love all of us as writers to focus on from now on, personally. We give a lot of lipservice to it, but it tends to get lost in the shuffle while we're actually writing the stories.

I would like to pimp my own story here too, lol.
As far as other catergories...I like Phil's idea of including various types of moments. Some scenes were funny as heck (cows) and some were really really action-filled and dramatic. We can divide it up a little more.

I'd like to nominate Gayass League number #1 (the Jesus one) and Gayass League #3. I'll admit #2 pt.1 was garbage. But I'm going to do a prequel with Rob and his boys battling for turf (elementary schools) with the Catholic Church.
In all honesty, I'm going to say my latest one, number 3 was the best. But the first I'm very proud of. Can someone please agree with me. These were excellent.

CJ, my bad. Your story is in the list in the first post of this thread, but it slipped out when I reposted it in the second page. I am gonna correct it.

I think there should be a Best Gay Erotica category for JQ's story. After all, these awards ARE named after Rob.

The Kamphausen awards is just for HR related stories, just like the JLR has his own award thread. I think some other award could be held for all the rest that is published here.
I have done some more research, please control my list below and add what you think is missing. The award is usually held in september, so it would be time to post the thread.
Christmas special; Vanguard Europe 0; Vanguard Europe #1 "On the job"; Strikeforce (2) special; Strikeforce 3 #0 "Picking up the pieces"; Royal Society of Rogues; Love.
Solo stories: Heroes and Legends; Vanguard: The end; Drake Marshall: the Beginning and the End; EPS: intermission; E. Cicciotto: an Odyssey; E. Cicciotto: soulsearch; (evil)MBL: the next step; Grimm tales 1; Left hand: Song of the Sinister Heart; Mxy Special; Shirley kicks ass.
Posters/writers: Danny; Mxy; Eurostar; Chewy; Gooz; Grimm; TTT; Grimm; the Doctor; Sonhaven; Sammitch; Notwedge; Banshee; Bruteforce.
New poster/writers: Bruteforce.
Best character: Danny Hearn; Kristofer "Chance" Schanz; Grissom "Sandcrawler" Montag; Mick Harrison/Mxy; Grimm; Dirk Bell; Edulcore "Euro" Cicciotto aka "The Raptor"; Phil Smith; Priest; Tayden; Tobias "TC" Christopher; Drake Marshall/Drax; Kristogar Velo; Michael Ringo/Vengeance; Brianna "Banshee" Fionghuala; Nadia (alias Sonja Ljvazet); Sam "Shift" Dawson; Ozzie Baxter; Adem Different; Nobody; Mason Templar; Frank Cavalli; Phouka; Bruteforce; Edmund Gaunt; Icarus Sidewinder; Link Fox; Lycopis; Mr. Kaleidoscope; Father Edoardo Cavalli; John Chamberlain; Nigel Montag; Mr. Grimm; Orville Stevenson; Gerardo "The Worm" Gorm; Captain Glucksfall; Shining Chartreuse; Texhek; Waterman; Iota; Agent Rosemblum; El Buitre; Elemental; Graviton; Ladybug; Hero II; Wilhelm Tell; ACK II; Brian Dead; Moonstone; Freak.
Best supporting character: Doc Quantos; Axel Magus; Rose Biggle; Leslie Kline; Victoria Xiang; Nuriko; Shirley Francis; Charley Montoja; Kit Piper; Eddie Cicciotto; Doc Paragon; Penny Goodweather; Ian Mcgregor; The B Team; The C Men; Baaghrupta; Octavia; Jake; Dr. Charles Walker; Agent Turner; Agent Tweed; Agent Reynolds; Agent Curie; Agent Richards; Agent Milton; Agent Natchman; Agent Lochlan; IGOR; Ethel Graham; the Order characters; the Pantheon characters.
Best villain: Jack Merlin; Amuck; (evil) Naecken; Saros (of the HR Universe); T5 robot; general D'Goon; Jabberwok Killer; Sideshow; GlitchH69.exe; Tripps; Howard Bender; Rothman; Knell/Leviathan; Jonas Cascade; Lord Godbolt; Brandon Fionghuala; the meta-animals; Hal; Dr. Felmann; Hellhounds and Wendigoes.
I think we have to take a decision about the cool moment, if to keep just a category or split it in fun and serious moments.

Actually, when I first wrote this, the evil MBL was the first of the list; then, I scraped it out because they have not yet faced the Vanguardians.
Technically they could be in, having starred in their own mini-series, yet I think they should be the star of the Kamphy of next year, when (hopefully) they will have fought our heroes badly.
So, people, they have to be in or not?

I think they should be in somewhere. If not under "best villains" then maybe "best character(s)".
