I was out with a friend and in one evening and reintroduced me to the brilliance of Nice Cave and the Bad Seeds (long live 'Murder Ballads') but introduced me to Portishead, Nina Simone, Elle Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday.

Anyone else discovering something fantastic in music?

Cab Calloway. I loved his Big Band stuff as a kid, but never owned a CD until a couple of months ago. Since age 18, I've listened to the Rat Pack weekly.

Never listened to a The Who album completely until last week. Thanks Pop!

The Clash, The Pixies, Primus, The Eisley Bros., and The Delphonics.

One of the first REAL albums I ever bought was the Who's Meaty Beaty Big and bouncy after that Pinball Wizard both from a flea market!

Prior to that it was ll kiddie albums except for a Monkees Album that was a mail order!

I got into Portishead's Dummy through a stripper I knew. Sour times...brings back some sweet memories...

Got into The Birthday Party (Cave's early eighties band) a few years back when the albums were reissued on cd. Great stuff.

I recently purchased a 3 Cd set
called " Classic Blues - 48 Classic
Blues Tracks. "

I discovered Howlin' Wolf on it.
Sure, I'd Heard Of him, but had not
heard his music till I purchased the
3 Cd set. Great performer!!
