"I Am the Highway" by Audioslave (was a huge fan of both Soundgarden and Rage Against the Machine, so liking this band was a no-brainer for me)

I'm a huge fan of Matthew Sweet, but for some odd reason haven't found anything by the Thorns that I have liked...it's weird. Probably for the exact reason that you specified, they sound like a young Crosby, Stills and Nash...

I've been repetitively listening to--believe it or not--the remake of Joni Mitchell's "River" (aka "It's coming on Christmas") which appears on the Ally McBeal soundtrack and is sung by Robert Downey Jr. It's one of my favorite non-traditional Xmas songs.
Damn. The guy can act. The guy can sing. Too bad the guy can't seem to stay off drugs.
